Tending to the garden out back was a good waste of time. When one didn't have much to do you had to find ways to occupy yourself lest you go crazy. Chu-e couldn't take care of very much, his physical condition wouldn't allow it, but he found that a few small plots with the help of the Mudbray he had gotten from Shoal Cave wasn't too much of a strain.

Today the berries on his three little plants had been ready to harvest. Six, plump tamato berries sat in his basket, ready for whatever he may do with them. The plants were already starting to sprout again thanks to the tropical climate; it was still warm in Hoenn even during the winter.

Chu-e was about to head in when from the bushes a Skitty appeared. She meowed and almost seemed to sing to the human, her cute paws and steps obviously wanting some of the harvest. Well, Chu-e wasn't ready to give that up, but he did have some food he kept for the pokemon outside. Getting his Mudbray to keep an eye on the Skitty, he stood up and went to get a bowl to feed the kitten pokemon.

She seemed more interested in the fresh berries but, seeing she wouldn't get any, still tucked into the bowl of food; she was not one to turn down a meal. Chu-e reached over and rubbed her ears lightly as she ate, earning a quiet purr from the kitten. Mind made up, as if it hadn't been before, Chu-e knew that this Skitty was going to be his.

Catching the Skitty!!!

Chu-e was not at home today. However, his pokemon were. His Mudsdale, who stayed around the small garden mostly, whinnied and shifted from the uncomfortable prickles of the electric field. While it didn't bother her as badly as some of the other pokemon it still prickled under her skin. At her distress, a Slowking poked his head out of the house to check on her- and frowned at the interloper hovering over the garden.

Sighing, the Slowking waddled out and started to blow Water Pulses at the floating pokemon, making it cry out and jerk away. It looked angry but the Slowking just hit it with another Water Pulse, soaking the pokemon. The Slowking picked up a free pokeball from the table inside, using that same psychic energy to hurl it at the flying pokemon.

Chu-e would be very confused when he got home and found another pokemon he didn't remember catching, but he would shrug it off.

CATCHING

Temp had decided to go check the berry harvest with Watering Can, his Psyduck. The two of them were still pretty shitty gardeners but they were doing their best! Good thing that these things were so resilient!

He gasped when he saw the Slugma oozing around.

"My salacs!" He cried, devastated.

Watering Can was quick to act! A Water Gun to Soak the Slugma who steamed and moaned at the assault.

Temp felt bad for the poor thing and threw a pokeball at it. He could find it a good home... away from his berries.
