a call from the dark-type resonates throughout the crumbling walls of the ruins before it's immediately muffled by the elite four shutting its maw close with his hand.

"you can't just howl in here, echo. you're gonna attract all the bad spirits to us or something."

the mightyena whimpers as he gets told off by his trainer, his tail drroping alongside his ears. his head lowers as he walks forward. kyle would have felt bad had he not been used to his pokemon using their charms against him more often than not.

a flashlight starts to go through the corners of each corridor. they may have been lost through the intricate maze system of the place, and while his mightyena would have been useful for backtracking, it wouldn't be when they fell from above.

kyle's back is still sore from the fall.
