Galla snorts and seems to preen from the attention that Sénon Game gives. Chu-e, however, just snorts and raises a brow at the Galarian horse pokemon.

"Galla is just prissy. You're right about the vanity, though." The horse pokemon snorts, shaking her head before turning her back on her Trainer. Grinning lightly, he glances back at Senon. "I've never taken in any horse pokemon to know before I moved back here... then I got her and a Mudsdale almost back to back. Good thing I have lots of space on my place for them to roam." Chu-e was more 'free range' with his pokemon, preferring to not keep them in pokeballs when just at home.

The commotion had drawn out a Torkoal, hoping to find out what was causing all the ruckus around her napping spot. Sadly, she stepped out too close to Galla, who Dazzling Gleamed her in the face, the unicorn's horn shining bright as the attack was launched. Before the Torkoal could retaliate, Chu-e tossed one of his own pokeballs, sighing.

"An estate, I guess. I own a house and a lot of land around it in Mossadeep." Which, yeah, had been pretty expensive. But... "My husband was loaded, though. I grew up pretty poor, honestly. Now it's all in my name, though, and I don't really know what to do with it..." Which, well, there were worse problems to have than 'too much money'.

"Gay people just like drama." Is all he responded with to the 'uncouth' comment, grinning and shrugging it off.

When the Klefki was assaulted, Chu-e gave another small laugh. "Man, those pokemon are so weird." While he spoke, another Pokemon ran out of the bushes, chasing the sound: An Axew. It was swiftly dealt with by Galla, who gave it a Dazzling Gleam to the face. She nosed the poor pokemon towards her trainer, who tossed his own pokeball at it. "Klefki are, like, said to have been created from the tears of an Unseelie Metal-smith. She was locked away for her skill and desperately crafted them as a means to find the key so she could escape. Silly, but kind of sad, too." There was more to the story than that but it was better to paraphrase. Chu-e enjoyed learning about the history and legends surrounding certain pokemon; he always thought that Fairy had the most interesting, which was one of the reasons he liked them so much.

Catching Axew

"Old legends and rumors, even the outlandish ones, usually have some grain of truth in them. It's just about finding out what part." He thought the whole thing was fascinating. If Chu-e had more of a mind of it, he could probably have been a researcher into that type of thing. For now, his studies were just casual and for himself. Nothing more, nothing less. "The metal-smith in the story, before she was locked away, was said to have created another pokemon... no surviving records say for sure what it was. Wouldn't it be cool if there was some... undiscovered pokemon out there, relating to that story?"

Chu-e seemed a bit more energetic at that.

However, when a big... something lumbered out of the bushes some yards away, Chu-e blanched a bit.

"Not that I would... know it was undiscovered if I saw it.... what the hell is that?" He pointed at the Barbarcle. Even Galla seemed to shy away from the pokemon. Thinking it over, he called her back into her pokeball. No need for that right now. The abomination noticed them at the flash of light, turning to look at them from where it had been scouring the bush for berries.

It ran towards them.

Chu-e tossed out another pokemon, this time his Whimsicott. The grass type fluffed himself up a bit before just launching an Energy Ball at the... whatever it was. It was pure luck on Chu-e's part that he had gotten type type effectiveness right- twice; he would never have guessed that thing was rock and water type.

It crumpled to the ground and Chu-e felt... maybe pity. Sighing, he tossed one of his pokeballs at it. Hmm. He would need to pick up some more of these soon.

Catching Barbarbinks

"Oh god, is is?" Leaning back, Chu-e sighed and glanced at the sky. The early morning sun was burning the sunrise, which showed just how long the two of them had been out here chatting. It was still mostly dark when he had come out here earlier.

"Yeah, you know some of those other Regions will lift trade or travel embargo... I was pining after an Alcremie for ages before Galar finally lifted theirs. Now, you can even find Galarian pokemon in the wild here sometimes!" He pauses, furrowing his brow. "Hmm... I wonder if that's bad for Hoenn's natural ecosystem..."

His ruminating was interrupted by the Onix. Chu-e watched with interest as the other took the pokemon down to catch. There was a clapping when it was captured, not from Chu-e but from a Clefable that had moved to be sitting next to him at some point. Noticing that Chu-e was looking, she perked up, pointing for his pocket.

Slowly, Chu-e pulled out a little tin of candies he had been saving for later. He offered the pokemon one, who gave a grateful clap and stuffed the bubblegum in her mouth. Chu-e tapped her with a pokeball before she could run off.

"Hey, Sénon Game, do you ever wonder... well, the, uh, 'Voice of the Forest' is real, Articuno, and I know some other famous people are like, bonded to certain 'Legends'... I wonder which of those are real and which are just legends."
