"Why did I agree to this?", thought Thomas as he walked through Rustboro's shopping district with Asteria.

Asteria had talked him into getting a makeover to commemorate the New Year. Normally, Thomas was happy with his clothing, all function, with no regard for form. The very idea of fashion made the Kalosian scoff. Ironic, given that he was the son of Samantha Benoit. But somehow, Asteria had managed to do it, so they found themselves shopping in Rustboro for a new outfit for him.

As the two strolled down the streets of Rustboro, Thomas would look in through the windows. The outfits that adorned the mannequins on display only made him raise an eyebrow. "Who'd even wear that shit?", Thomas remarked, upon seeing one mannequin in particular. Other than commenting on the more ridiculous outfits on display, he'd behave himself.
