Derrick walked around the route, juggling a pokeball with one hand as he kept an eye out for any potential team members. His team was relatively small he only brought along Daze and King from Galar and it's just been the three of them living in hoenn for the past few months. Derrick never really had any luck catching pokemon, he'd often mess up the throw causing the wild pokemon to scurry away in victory. If memory serves right, his last attempt was a few weeks back. He was trying to catch a phanpy it didn't go as planned though because of Derrick's careless nature he threw a pokeball at a passing by trainer. At the time it was a pain since the trainer wasn't very happy, but now Derrick fondly laughed at the memory.

Today would be different. Throwing up the pokeball and catching it with his hand, this time he felt determined to go home with a new family member. Derrick glanced towards Daze who had been carelessly strutting along side him. Giving his partner a playful grin, "Hope you know we're not returning till we find another family member." The man said with confidence.

"Oh! If I'm really lucky, hopefully we'll get more then one added to the family!" He said with a pleasant laugh, that being said he wasn't exactly sure what pokemon lingered throughout these parts. Not that it mattered to Derrick, he wasn't very picky when it came to types.

It had been a quick visit to Rustboro to see his mother and father. As usual Mom was busy with Lab work and Dad was at the new house sharpening his knives.

They hadn't changed much since moving to Hoenn. It was a good thing all in all. As they aged they would need interests and hobbies and goals to keep them sharp and keep them young.

Walking along Route 115 he paced himself with his hands behind his back, one pokéball in hand.

Seeing a man with blue hair he thought of his cousin @utah, missing her dearly. "Good Morning." She was busy and so was he and like his parents, he would stay that way for a while to come.

Because he was still too young to start getting old.

Derrick had fumbled around with his goggles, some dust had gotten onto them. For some reason he couldn't main the stain disappear. Mumbling to himself in annoyance, he stuffed them into his back pack. Figuring that he'll wipe them with water once he returned home. With the distraction put away, his attention went back to the task at hand. Looking for pokemon. There was still no sign of any sort of pokemon, so once again he felt annoyed. He had awoken up earlier then usual, and haven't gotten the chance to eat a proper meal which was the leading cause of his annoyance.

He kicked at a rock in frustration, failing to notice the other trainers presence as he did so. He only knew that there was another person on the route when he heard a voice. Looking up to see a guy with red hair, Derrick bowed his head in response. "Yeah yeah, good morning." He said with a mutter, a little unsure what sparked the conversation.

The other guy seemed to be in fowl enough mood. Sénon could relate, he wasn't much of the talking type the "Good Morning" was the most he'd planned on saying.

Still, he wasn't expecting an annoyed retort.

It caught his attention in an annoying way. Not in the 'starting a conversation' kind of way but more in a 'what the hell was his problem' kind of way.

He watched the blue-hair for a moment but left it alone. He was here to expand the team after all. From a pokéball at his hip
he called Terawr forward once again, ready to carve away some of the baby's naivety and incompetence; one wild encounter at a time.

From his side the tyrunt tot looked around, for a battle. "Easy Te'r.."

Perhaps Derrick was ruder then he intended to be. He scratched at his head unsure what to do or how to make up for his rudeness. He flicked himself on the forehead, deciding to man up he marched after the other man. "Hey brother, sorry about earlier, that was rude of me." Derrick told him with a sincere tone, hoping that he'd be kind enough to let it go. "Name's Derrick, if you'd like I go by rick too." His introduction was cut short, as he failed to notice the approaching pokemon.

From the looks of things, Senon had already prepared for battle Derrick watched on curiously as a pokemon he didn't recognize was summoned from the pokeball. He was about to ask the man what pokemon that was until his attention was brought towards Daze, who had grunted at a nearby Dreadnaw. Upon spotting the Dreadnaw lurking within the grass, Derrick's mood had lightened up. The fierce pokemon did not look like it would go down without a fight. Determined that they would return with at least one more addition, Derrick signaled for Daze to battle it.
"Alright Daze, lets start with the good ol scary face." Daze let out a roar, approaching the Dreadnaw, following Derrick's instruction with ease. Daze used Scary Face. From the looks of things, scary face seemed to put the Dreadnaw in a sense of panic. Although it managed to hit Daze with a clean body slam. Derrick was slightly worried about Daze, the body slam seemed to have taken a toll onto the pokemon. "Right then, lets wrap this up. Daze finish dreadnaw with Overdrive." Daze doing just that, once the move had hit Dreadnaw making it paralyzed for a short while. Derrick chucked a pokeball at it. Hoping for its success.

He didn't have much of a need for a Whimsicott.

That was his initial thought when he saw one emerge from the grassy beyond. There was a cottonee that might benefit from having one its own around but that was the limit to its useful as far as he could see.

The blue-haired guy who vaguely snuffed him earlier came back to apologize, showing awareness and a bit of class. Not pained by the initial exchange and having already forgotten about it he suggested to the other guy, Derrick, to do the same.

"Forget about it." His tone wasn't annoyed, nor offended. "Ambitions are long and days are short. Every interaction won't be us at our best."

Getting an empty pokéball ready he slapped the baby tyrunt on its thick thighs pointing it at the Whimsicott, deciding not to let it escape. "POISON FANG." stomping down its target with glee the rexy runt bit down with toxic-lined teeth knocking out the Grass Fairy almost instantly.

Tyrunt used POISON FANG; its (double) Super Effective!

The Premiere Ball would do the rest in adding it to the team.

Crimsen attempted to capture Whimsicott

Turning back to his would-be companion for this 'wild hunt' he returned the introduction. "I'm Sénon."

Seeing a Lunatone in the wake of capturing the Whimsicott, he went after it with simple directions to Terawr. Ready to secure a counterpart to his Solrock, he exploited its weaknesses with a ground attack. "Use, Stomping Tantrum."

Terawr used STOMPING TANTRUM; its Super Effective!

Storming over the Meteorite Pokémon with power in his steps the Tyrunt put it to sleep quite quickly, a long way from out of Premiere Balls, Sénon tagged it the first chance he could.

Crimsen attempted to capture Lunatone!

Turning back he took a peek at what Derrick was capturing, or not.

Derrick had just a brief moment of victory as he heard the final click of the pokeball. Feeling over joyed in his success without thinking he had leaped into the air. Nodding in approvement towards Daze. Well his wish had come true, all he wanted was to just catch one pokemon. He walked over toward the pokeball and placed it in his pocket.

He glanced back towards Senon, only to see that he had also managed to catch a pokemon. Derrick was relieved that Senon had forgiven him. Derrick nodded at Senon's statement. "Your a smart guy." He complimented, knowing that there was a large truth to the mans words. Derrick himself had large ambitions and not everyday would he be in his best mood. Derrick wanted to ask Senon what he had just caught, tempting to strike up a conversation but he had been interrupted when a sudden Lunatune appeared.

Slowly backing off so he wouldn't get in the way of his battle. Derrick felt that he had stepped on something. Looking down, he saw an apple, peering back at him with big eyes. Derrick blinked, The applin mimicked him. Letting out a pitiful squeak. Scratching at his chin, Derrick realized this creature was a pokemon. Although he had doubts that it would be able to put up much of a fight. He didn't think he would be catching another pokemon today, but he'll take anything that he finds. Chucking a ball at the applin, Derrick watched as the ball made small movements.

Compliments about his intelligence always soothed his ego but humility kept at a healthy minimum he offered Derrick an alternative explanation. "Maybe not smart; just very experienced."

Seeing another rustling in the brush he pulled the Tyrunt in by its tail to give it an a bit of direction. "Go get it Te'r!" Letting the dino pup go it took off into the tall grass the only sound being made was a pained yelp seconds later.

Dragging back a pokemon between its teeth it seemed pained but couldn't free itself. Looking it up on DEXapp he quickly found it to be a pure Dragon-type and applied a quick strategy to knock it out and get it some healing before welcoming it to the roster. "ICE FANG!."

Terawr used ICE FANG; its Super Effective!

Biting down on what was already in its mouth the Tyrunt put it into unconsciousness with one focused bite.

It wasn't surprising that the pokeball had clicked, Derrick didn't really think of the pokemon to be one to put up a fight. Picking up the pokeball, a smile spread across his face. He'd do all he can to make him strong, he was sure that this pokemon would turn out to be a beast in the near future. He looked over at Senon and couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, the humble type huh? "I see, well it also looks like that applies to catching and battling pokemon - can't say the same for myself." Derrick really had no interest in battling or getting an absurd amount of pokemon so he didn't really know much about pokemon. He watched as Senon attempted to capture another pokemon.

Derrick heard rustling behind him and turned his eyes to look, a little bewildered at the sight of such a large pokemon - though it looked smaller then King. Before he managed to pull out a pokeball, the pokemon quickly scurried off. A dissapointed look fell onto the man. "I was to slow.." He said with a sigh. Looking back towards Senon "so you from around here?"He casually asked.

To Derrick's surprise the Armaldo had still been lingering around. Derrick saw it as a chance, this time for sure he wouldn't let the pokemon get away. He thought he'd try his luck by just throwing a pokeball at him instead of making Daze go through another fight. Preparing his arm, he chucked the pokeball at the armaldo.
