No one has done the first traditional one, and that was okay but Billi thought it was a fun game! “Oh it’s Stormy!” he grinned waving at her as she walked into his gym, it was sunny and the pokemon were all lively. “So you wanna do the first one?! Herding bug pokemon! Is harder then herding Wooloo that’s for sure!” he laughed stretching his arms.

Stormy is too busy spinning around and examining the gym layout to notice Billi - how, that is left up to debate. Maybe his incredible form had blended in perfectly with the scenery or something. [break][break]

But his voice brings her to attention, and she waves merrily. There is a bright smile on her face as she picks up the pace to meet up with him.[break][break]

"I'm sure that it is! Have you got any rules for me? Where am I herding them to?"[break][break]

All around her, she could hear the hubbub of wide-awake Pokemon. It sort of gave her the creepy-crawlies, but the ambient noise was also soothing at the same time. [break][break]

Billi noticed the girl taking in his gym, and it made him so happy that someone admired the art of a gym made by pokemon, designed for them by them. “Oh right! You needa know where their going,” Billi looked around, “You need to get my six Vivillon! And bring them back to the tree for a healthy lunch!” he nodded and grinned, “careful though! They like honey and nectar so they will wander off to munch of sweet things, or get easily distracted!”

As she says this, the woman releases two Pokemon from her belt. She had brought them especially for this task, figuring they might fit in well with Pokemon that might be fond of their irresistible sweet scent. In fact, the two of them immediately seem to exude the pleasant aroma. [break][break]

"And it sounds like I may need to pull all the stops and find some honey to encourage them with. Bulbasaur, do you notice anything nearby? We might as well start in a direction, any direction, and work from there!"[break][break]

Stormy was fully prepared to become a walking honey slather board, even go so far as to let the Vivillon stick to her like glue. She twitches her nose at the thought, but glances back at Billi with another warm smile. Bulbasaur and Salazzle both make their way in a random direction in the direction of the big tree.[break][break]

She thought this would be easy, poor girl. Billi moved to sit back, in his lawn chair, stretching, yawning and looking about. “You’ve got a challenge ahead of you! Be careful they might whisk away that bulbasaur like Glinda the good witch,” relaxing in the chair he watched as three, distinctly different vivillon, came closer, curiously floating above, almost taunting the girl.[break][break]

Of course Billi knew how to feed them all, and he’d never feed them like this, but this was part of the game. Four of the vivillon moved down, landed on the bulbasaur, “VVIII” the harmonized and began to lick the bulbasaur, and discreetly tried floating away with the bublasaur.

Stormy glances over her shoulder, a pointed, confident smirk on her face.[break][break]

"It wouldn't be a gym challenge if there was no challenge, right? Don't sweat it, I have this easy peasy."[break][break]

But it really wasn't as easy as she thought it'd be. Billi's warning was not well heeded, and before she knew it, the Bulbasaur was making exuberant noises of panic as he was lifted into the air.[break][break]

"Wait, woah! Slow down! He isn't your afternoon meal, he's just the appetizer! Come back here!"[break][break]

She reaches for another pokeball, this one harboring a small Fletchinder. The tiny little fire bird ignites, modestly, in order to spook the Vivillon off of her companion. And then she lunges to catch the Bulbasaur before it falls, and Stormy steps in to catch him too. Feathers fly and Stormy apologizes, sheepish.[break][break]

"Okay, you two - three, sorry, Fletchinder. I need you three to work together. Salazzle, try not to get snatched up, but I need you and Bulbasaur to work harder to taunt them both at the same time. If someones getting overwhelmed, step in and distract. This is about teamwork, yeah?"[break][break]

She sets the Bulbasaur back down, and the Fletchinder settles on the woman's shoulder, preening his feathers back into place.[break][break]

It was so funny, and Billi found himself watching as the bulbasaur was saved from the hungry vivillon. Naturally they scattered off quickly before a tail wind could be whipped up. “viiii” their chimed as they hung around up above, watching the sweet scent. Though what the girl may not have noticed was that the shiny vivillon, gently found itself resting on Stormy’s head, licking her hair, because not only did her perfume (or whatever she wears) smelt yummy, her shampoo and hair was even yummier. But…..no one told it was there, but it seemed….mayyyybbbeeee her pokemon noticed.

Unbeknownst to Stormy, a shiny Vivillon has made itself comfortable on the back of her head. While she walks, it is light enough that she is completely unaware, much in the same manner she had lost the little paper umbrella when she'd had drinks with angelo vestri.[break][break]

The rest of her Pokemon, however, have not missed this detail. They all seem to stare at her, making her incredibly insecure and uncomfortable. She stares back at them, waggling her eyebrow until the entire situation gets weirder. [break][break]

"What? Something in my teeth?"[break][break]

But rather than worry about it, seeing as the Vivillon was comfortable and secure in her hair, the Salazzle and Bulbasaur wander further ahead, looking this way and that. Fletchinder flaps in and out of view, diving through trees every once in a while in the hopes he might discover more butterflies to herd.[break][break]

"Actually.. what if we sprayed the Vivillon with sleep powder when we find them? I have Galvantula to make a big net to use. We can cocoon them in that to carry them with so they don't disappear again. That'll work!"[break][break]

Of course, this backfires when the Bulbasaur agrees, spraying sleep powder at the back of her head. It makes Stormy's eyelids grow heavier too, and she rubs her eyes before tossing out yet another Pokemon, this one her shiny Galvantula. [break][break]

"I need.. I need you to... to make a net.. but make sure it isn't.. too.. sticky...."[break][break]

After all, she didn't want to hurt the Vivillon. Thankfully, the Galvantula sets right to work at it, building a net covered in grass and moss and leaves to prevent the sticky webs from being overly, dangerously sticky.[break][break]

Should the shiny Vivillon be asleep, the Bulbasaur lifts the Pokemon into the net, and Fletchinder lifts it up to close it, carrying it ahead. It isn't heavy, and he has no issue carrying it.[break][break]

Her attempt to sleep the poor pokemon, worked well, even if he backfired on her too. It was cute and dainty, relaxing in it’s sleep and being carried off by the bulbasuar. Though.....they didn’t seem to realize that their wings allowed them to remain camouflage. As the sleep powder moved like leaves in the air in the tail wind, it appeared to gave caught the wrong kind of butterfly. Venomoth, butterfree, dustox, mothim, frosmoth, volcarona. All the wrong pretty bugs.[break][break]

Instead some of the vivillon remained hidden in a location that would best hide them and their patterns.

"Hmm.."[break][break]
Stormy, after overcoming her weariness, soon realizes that the sleep powder had been effective... in capturing the wrong assortment of butterflies. In her bleary-eyed drowsiness, she had assumed her success. But the net that the Fletchinder now carried was chock full of butterflies not listed in her to-dos.[break][break]

"Well.. looks like we've captured the entire forest of Pokemon we don't need. But hey! That means that the ones we do are the only ones left, yeah? Tuck that net somewhere safe, Galvantula."[break][break]

At her reguest, the spider Pokemon attaches the net of sleeping butterflies to a nearby tree, nestled in the tall grass and safe and sound.[break][break]

"I think it's time to tackle this one at a time. We have the pretty blue one, and according to this pamphlet and the ones we saw earlier, Billi has... a green one, a blue and orange one, two pink or purple ones, and a yellow one. Let's head for the pink and purple bushy areas with the flowers."[break][break]

In the meantime, Galvantula has made up a second net for them to use to catch their Vivillons, and Stormy carries the sleeping Tundra-patterned shiny one in her arms for the time being. [break][break]

They make their way for the pink-patterned Vivillon next.[break][break]

The girl was wise! Head to the area’s that had flowers that matched the wings! It seemed like a no brainer to Billi, and apparently Stormy. Luckily for her, they were just sitting there sipping away on the yummy, UNHEALTHY flowers. They turned and stared at the girl, flapping their wings softly. “vvvvviiii?” their heads tilted before giving a disgusted face, as if to say “ugly hoe”. (think the fairy in soul eater with excalibur.

Two Vivillon with pink and purple-coloured wings draw her attention, and Stormy sucks in a breath. With twinkling eyes, she ushers Salazzle forward to draw them in with a sweet scent. It wafts off of her skin like a natural lure, tempting them away from their delicious treat.[break][break]

And when Stormy has a chance, she lunges forward with the net that Galvantula has made at the same time Bulbasaur sprays more sleep powder.[break][break]

For added measure, and because of the dirty looks Stormy had received, her Galvantula even throws in a little show of sparks, energy crackling as a warning not to mess with her trainer. Fletchinder herds them into the net if they protest, and Stormy ties the net shut and breathes out a sigh of relief. [break][break]

"Three down, three more to go. Let's go drop these babies off at the big tree and we can hit up the rest."[break][break]

In the short period that she sets down the net in order to stretch her back or wipe sweat from her brow, is the time it take a Durant to slice open the net just before they reached the tree. At the same time this happens, of course, two more Vivillon show upto taunt her.[break][break]

"Fletchinder? Little help, buddy!"[break][break]

The little bird wastes no time in tackling the Durant away from the net with a flame charge. Of course, they're a little bit too late and at least one or two of the Vivillon escape the net before Galvantula is able to patch it up. [break][break]

Stormy groans, losing patience with herself and with these damn bugs. She kept muttering to herself about how much she disliked bugs in general. But it was in that muttering that she slowed her breathing and took a deep breath. The fire in her veins had bubbled to a head, literal waves of heat coming off of her in her frustration.[break][break]

But after a little bit of meditating, she exhales slowly, closes her eyes, and presses her fingers to her temples, massaging them gently.[break][break]

"Okay."[break][break]

The Vivillon were pretty, and were arrogant, self-absorbed little creatures. She could tell as much already, given the dirty looks they'd given her and the way they blatantly ignored help. [break][break]

"Last Vivillon to the tree is an ugly Venomoth!"[break][break]

Not that Venomoth were ugly, necessarily, but they were certainly far less beautiful than the Vivillon. Maybe by attacking their appearances, she could egg them on with trickery to get them to head up to the tree.[break][break]
