Hi Billi Marsh , thank you for helping with this field test for the upcoming opening of the Lavaridge gym.
Your (unofficial) gym challenge in the MARSH biome has been accepted! I've reviewed your Pokemon's moveset and ability.

Remember all Pokemon can use the Dodge action to negate damage, regardless of their moveset. Suggested tags have been included, but feel free to deviate as appropriate.

Zac sat on an inflatable camp-chair, trying not to sink into the mud. The air was thick with humidity, plant-rot, and the smell of very lived-in water. It was amazing. Something about the constant battering of the senses really brought Zac into the present. It was like the opposite of meditation. Or maybe it was exactly the same. Zac wasn't a big yoga-er. It was a crisp, shimmering afternoon, and judging by the position of the sun and the text he'd just received, Billi should be about 10 minutes away. He leaned back and waited for the flare.

“Oh sorry I’m late!” Billi laughed, because the coordinates were soo hard to read! Heck he didn’t even understand what the numbers meant! “I can’t read coordinates so I had to kinda wander around until I saw your bright red hair,” Billi grinned as he stood in very appropriate attire, where he wore the muk protective gear.[break][break]

Naturally his two pokemon, Sliggoo and Pinsir enjoyed the swampy aera, Sliggoo mostly as it wandered the muck.

MUSIC

"Hey Billi! What's happening buddy?" Zac said, greeting his mud-splattered friend. "You didn't want to use the flare?" He asked, indicating the unused emergency item that had been enclosed in Billi's letter. "No matter. Save it for later, yeah?"
Zac looked at the pair of Pokemon that Billi had brought. Sliggoo looked ready to rumble. "Time to get started then? You ready Bell?"
A spindly, dripping form emerged from the marsh. Her water-bubble head swirled with murky lake water, and her legs sunk into the muck that made up the 'ground' of their battleground. Bell the Araquanid was raring to go. Zac and Billi moved back from the pair, and the battle started.
Bell made the first move. Her surface shimmered with flowing liquid, making it hard to precisely follow her movements as she lunged at Sliggoo. He fangs sprayed droplets of water as they emerged from the water bubble and dove straight for the wobbly body of the goo snail.

Billi grinned, “How are you sitting out in a lawn chair out here! It’s so gunky! And you're just rockin your marsh fantasy.” Billi laughed and teased the man some before the battle began, and the araquanid jumped out of the water. Which Billi knew all too well! The spider's natural instincts was to hunt and that’s what it did well. Though Sliggoo had evolved to be slipper and slimy, though it opened it’s mouth, ”sllllll” it radiated with a blue flame aura as it shot out it’s Dragonpulse to push it back and avoid damage, before it followed up with the dragon breath.[break][break]

MUSIC

Dragon Pulse struck Araquanid's bubbled face, rippling the water and warping the image of the spider's face inside. The surface glimmered as the prepared Mirror Coat pushed the pulse back on itself, cancelling the shuddering waves.
The waters stilled, and Araquanid lunged, just as the slug belched a stream of blue flames. The spider danced through the blazing marsh on sizzling legs. The spider tensed and pounced, body trailing smoke as it attacked Sliggoo, eager to strike back. Fangs protruded from the bubble, seeking the soft, jellied flesh of its opponent. Did a Sliggoo have blood, or was it goo, muck or slime? Araquanid aimed to find out.

LEECH LIFE (Damage)

Araquanid's bubble shuddered as it danced back on long, stilt-like legs, and dirty water surged up from the stagnant puddle around them. The marsh-juice surged at Sliggoo in concussive jets, aiming to power-wash the slug right into a nearby pool of mud and reeds.

You know what doesn’t taste good? Slug. Slug that was blasting muddy water into that clear water bubble. Though while the water was used to block it failed to do much against the follow up attack. With it’s body being pushed back by the water pulse, the tiny slug was hit, but it lashed back, with a powerful spray of acid like it was a pressure washer.[break][break]
