Jonathan Beckert Ergashev (henceforth 'Jon Beck') would really just describe himself as an average, normal kid; Of course, there's a lot more to it than that. There's an energy of idealism and naivety that surrounds this optimistic individual. Always a charming goof growing up, Jon doesn't have a bad bone in his body and might not even have a serious one. This innocence isn't an excuse or justification for any mistakes or offence, acting more like an M.O. instead. He's just more interested in looking on the brighter side of things and being able to enjoy life or amuse others. It's gonna be going on for quite a while, may as well make some good memories that last.

Jon Beck has been an energetic boy since childhood, many expecting him to have taken off on a pokemon journey at a much younger age. His mother was hesitant about sending her son off into the world at such an early time, having made a few other decisions instead. Proper education and a useful set of skills are an important part of life, after all. The young man never really had much of a reason to leave his home town regardless-- his friends, family, and everyone else he knew were there. This all changed when he became responsible for a young Tyrogue.

It all happened at a martial arts class in a local dojo, another extracurricular to round out the basis of his ability. He wasn't exactly good at it, only getting to green belt before the dojo shut down due to unfortunate circumstances. This isn't about the dojo though, rather we'll be discussing the curious case of the egg contest. It was some kind of promotion or raffle or something; It wasn't really clear when explained to him two or three years ago. All Jon knows is that he won, which lead to him hatching a Tyrogue over the course of a few weeks. While it was a happy occasion at first, the trouble of teaching discipline to a pokemon like this was bound to follow him.

This is what prompted him to apply for a trainer's license and go out on his own journey. Jon truly does love his Tyrogue like his own family, so he wanted to give it what's naturally best. It may have been a bit painful for his parents, but they couldn't protest it any longer. How could you when you have a tiny terror breaking your pots and throwing suplex after suplex on the neighbor's dogs? It's always been a tough decision, but now is the right time for him to go out into the world and be the best that he can be.

A few details?

• Jonathan has pretty much always been called "Jon Beck" to the point that he introduces himself under that alias. It's just how he's grown up. He's definitely startled by hearing his full legal name.
• Jon's a big fan of PokeMMA and PokeWrestling, up to the point that he can't actually distinguish the difference between the two.
• Although a young man of many talents, he really likes singing. This is not one of his talents.
• He can talk for hours upon hours about clothing, especially brands he likes. Don't even get him started on his Castform Comfort™ sports jacket.
• Despite all scientific research, Jon doesn't believe Narwhals actually exist. He's never seen one in the waters of Hoenn nor on the television.
