He can't help but pause at the thought of that. Actually eventually learning how to interact with people seemed nice. For so long he was at his father's side, doing what he said and when he said it. Out side family interaction was extremely limited and so properly learning how to socialize was never something he was allowed to learn. Yet here he was, finally out under the thumb that was Team Rocket and his family and while for the longest time he was lost not always understanding how people worked here Yui was. Reminding him that he'll eventually learn and its nice. [break][break]

There seems to a much more genuine smile that tugs on his faces as he wipes his single eye. "Yeah eventually," is all he repeats as she takes out her portable chess set. [break][break]

"That's impressive, well hopefully I'm not too much of a bore for you so I'll take white to go first," because he's sure the first move might be his only advantage playing against the chess master.

“Yeah, your brother seems like a smart man, so I’m sure tying or beating him means something,” though of course its just an opinion, there is also the fact that she is a big tech right? He wasn’t too sure of her job if he was being honest, but he wasn’t really one to pry. Though seeing as they were playing a game this would be the time. [break][break]

Seems like Yui had the same idea, but sadly she ends up hitting a sore spot for him. “A horrible human being,” he comments as he moves off of his knights past the wall of pawns. As the game would go on she would noticed that despite his usual passive personality his style of playing was quite aggressive. Probably stemmed from where he learned it, “I once thought the world of him until I realized what he was, then the lab accident happened causing this and him disowning me so... yeah,” despite the hate he has for the man there is more a tiredness to his voice as he tells the story than anything else. He does point at the side of his face he kept covered at the mention of ‘this.’ [break][break]

She simply nodded her head when he spoke of her brother, it was nothing she hadn't already heard about his vast intellect. However what interested her more was razz speaking of his own father. It was a sad story, however at least she had answers to the questions she was going to ask, better to not pry that much further huh? Did he find peace in that knowledge? How she envied him. However when the conversation switched to her own parents she hesitated slightly before moving her piece in response to his. Razz actually has to ponder a moment about that. What about his mother? ”She and I were never close, my brother was her favorite as my parents figured ‘hey we have twins you raise one I raise one’ so I more often was with my dad,” so he has no idea where he really stands with his mother. Though he suppose after his father tells her he nearly killed him he is sure he would be on his mother’s kill list too. ”But safe to assume she doesn’t care for me either,” at the aggressive move of hers he expects it and lets it happen. Hmmm it a strange and sick way she was jealous of him. He at least got his answers, her questions as to who exactly her parents were would never be answered as she had no idea who they even were. Only that Rocket killed them in kanto and she was shipped over to Hoenn and placed in foster care. That's why it was so cruel, the girl who wanted to know everything possible about those she knew and ones who were lost to her forever.[break][break]

Yui smiled as she remembered her time with them fondly, they were strict but they at least they had wanted her. "I never knew my biological parents. "A stereotypical rags to riches story, I went from having scraps to suddenly having everything, a big family with plenty of siblings, money, et cetera. I still think about them sometimes." she answers him wondering how they'd feel about Athena, if she'd have even told them about it. nevertheless it was pointless to worry about such things now. She'd never see them again.

Razz is just going to stare at her in an almost, 'you're crazy' type of way. "Then I change my words, I know she hates me," because there was no assuming here. [break][break]

There is a hint of guilt there when she mentions how her parents had been killed by Rocket. Though it seems like despite the problems in the end it all seemed better with the whole 'big family' and such. "Sorry about them... erm... maybe parents is a difficult subject to really talk about ummm...." clearly he was a master of small talk as he struggled with a topic. [break][break]

Doesn't help that he lost another piece. "What exactly do you do at Silph Co?" he finally decides on because work is easy to talk about. As it was all he did.

"Ah" was all that escaped her lips when Razz had changed his wording to he KNEW she hated him. She struggled to find a subject to talk about as well as she was really focused on the game. She was also just as big of a nerd as Razz and not that great with people as she was an infomaniac shut in. [break][break]

He moved on to ask her what she actually does in Silph co. "Whatever fern wants honestly. I spend my day coding away for projects he needs my help with. Official title is head coder for Silph co, I don't really like oversee projects and stuff though. I let the other managers Fernando hires handle that stuff. I only care for actual coding." she tells him. [break][break]

"It's kind of like...solving a puzzle you're also making the pieces for? I like the figuring out the logic gates and block chains." She realized she was using job jargon and should probably ease up a bit. She stopped talking for a moment as she moved a new piece forward making a pretty risky move in front of razz. "What do you do for the rangers? You seem to hang around Silph co stuff a lot too." she asks.
