To live life strapped from one's means of production was certainly an unfortunate state to live in. It was enough to make one question the choices they've made to reach such a situation. Professor Barnister was no different. Since her departure from Team Rocket, every tedious task she would delegate to an underling had been brought back to her desk, waiting to be fulfilled by her own two hands. Catching Pokemon worth researching was one of those many tedious tasks.

Weariness speckled her eyes as she let out a wild yawn. As beautiful as the surrounding environment was, her thoughts were stuck of mud of begrudging frustration. With her brows knitted together, the woman in white continued to make her way through the endless dirt path, her eyes averted towards the ground. That's when a certain blur of colors caught her eye. Looking up, her curious eyes followed the trail the suspicious blur left, eventually discovering both it's path and unsuspecting victim. "Better watch out," She called out, though, part of her secretly hoped she was a tad too late.

Smirk pressed across her face, Jo peered around the tree, curious to see the aftermath of the situation. Just a smoochum. It was clear she was a tad disappointed with the results, but this fleeting look didn't last for too long, as the stranger's words of caution immediately came to her attention. "Hm?" With a quick spin, the woman followed the stranger's gesture. There wasn't much urgency in her movement, as she assumed his tone reflected her situation's lack of actual danger. And it did.

Scampering over to her was a small Deino. Given his clear lack of vision, the young pokemon was seemingly harmless, running towards them without a sense of direction. His agape mouth easily showed it's intent to simply survey the strange sounds he was hearing from them, as biting is the best way Deinos can grasp it's environment.  It took only a few steps for her left to evade his efforts. As she did so, the Deino found himself stuck by a small rock on the ground. The combination of surprise and pain caused him to tumble straight to the ground. "Poor thing," Jo cooed, now knelt down beside him, "Take this." With quick hands, she dropped a bundle of berries in front of him, cautious of his movements. One misstep and it would be a trip to the hospital for her.

As he began to indulge in her gift, Jo took effort in tapping her own poke ball against his back, allowing it's flash of red to envelop him completely.

Emerald eyes looking up towards the stranger, she released a soft chuckle, "The return on that warning sure came in quick."
