Minior were rocks, right? Were they minable rocks? If she entered the safari zone with a pickaxe and went to town, would she be successful in uncovering the motherload?[break][break]

She sure hoped so, because that was quite literally her only strategy. The woman had come into possession of a Minior of her own a while back by happenstance. Actually, she literally couldn't remember where or how she'd even gotten it. But the Pokemon was super cool and unique and she'd heard tell of there being more than one colour available. That in itself was all the incentive she needed.[break][break]

The ting, ting, ting of her pick bites deeper and deeper into the outside of a cave she'd found. It isn't much, but its honest work.[break][break]

She strikes gold.[break][break]

Or at the very least, a nugget of pink. Stormy's pick swings too hard into the surface of the rock, breaking the hard shell that protected the Minior. She pales, horrified, as the little pink Pokemon hovers after falling out of the wall. For some reason, though, it seems some degree of relieved. It spins and twirls as if freed.[break][break]

"I didn't mean to-- are you okay?"[break][break]

The woman sets the pick down hastily before scrambling to pick up the broken pieces of the Minior. Fortunately, it seems that the Pokemon is not at all perturbed. It floats excitedly all around her before returning to the wall. If it can make a noise, it trills as if calling out to something. [break][break]

"I can keep going if that's what you'd like. Just stay clear, I have a wide swing."[break][break]

Stormy is so focused on her task of mining right through the wall and out the other side that when a Shellos creeps past her she is completely unaware. The Minior that has stuck around greets it with a spin of its pink floaty form, but ultimately, the Shellos doesn't stick around when it hasn't been given any other attention.[break][break]

Something else that is pink finally catches her attention, mostly because she's taken a break to breath something other than the dirt she's kicked up so far. She sneezes into her elbow with ferocity, startling the Oricorio that had strutted her way onto the scene.[break][break]

Her Minior approaches rapidly, stopping just short of the little pink danger. It appears that the Pokemon is positively capitvated by the Oricorio, and Stormy rubs dirt from her eyes in time to attempt a capture. She already had an Oricorio at home, but the cute little birds had quickly become a favourite of hers.[break][break]

Eventually, of course, Stormy releases the Pokemon to hang around nearby. The Pokemon were flock-type Pokemon, and chances were if hers stuck around, others would show up soon.[break][break]

Like hitting a home run, she tosses the pickaxe to the ground with excitement as yet another sparkly little Minior shows up in the rubble. With both hands, she reaches forward to pluck it delicately out of the wall. It is in far better shape than the first one, but her first little pink space friend hums at her shoulder, thrilled to have found another kindred spirit.[break][break]

Only after some TLC and baby-talk does Stormy return to mining. She was gonna be absolutely swole after this. Would Miles Sharp notice?[break][break]

Unfortunately for the adorable little creature wearing a wizard's hat, Stormy is far too preoccupied with her task at hand. Jealousy prompts the Hatenna to lash out with a dazzling gleam, flashing at the woman.[break][break]

But Stormy's eyes are closed at the time of the incident, wiping sweat from her brow. So she avoids the blinding and it is her few Pokemon out and about that fall to the ground, dazed and confused. With a huff, the Hatenna stomps off with as much force as her tiny little feet could manage.[break][break]
