- Attempting to catch togedemaru. | A grey ball was hidden in a tree, and Robbin only took notice of it when it became a streak of color heading towards her. Quickly she turned on her heels and faced her back to the tree, and on her back was a thick bit of leather being used as a sheath for her napping Hoenedge.
“Iron defense quick, Hoenn!” She felt bad for him as he was forced awake and was struck by a random pokemon. However, it seems the sheath did a good job and took most of the impact.
“Aqua jet, Penni!” A crisp jet of water knocked the pokemon into the open grass.
“Sorry Hoenn, not your fight, but thanks,” She added softly over her shoulder, but it seemed the sword had already gone back to sleep.
Robbin looked at the tiny sphere for a pokemon and couldn’t help but giggle at it.
“You’re quite cute!” She said, holding a hand in front of her laugh. It was a ball with spikes and was doing it’s best to be scary by displaying it’s very triangular spikes.
Penni too seemed amused as the togedemaru began to size the towering penguin standing in front of. Hopping from side to side, little huffs and puffs.
“Iron claw,” penni’s flipper gained a silver shine as he rushed forward and quite harshly slammed the protruding claws into the pokemon, letting out a bit of his rage.
“Leeeee! e!”
The small pokemon was stuck against the flipper of Penni. Lots of thin green spikes seemed to come out of their round body. Then there was a spark and Penni flung their flipper into the ground in an attempt to rid the pokemon.
“To!--" SLAM "Ge!--" SLAM "De!--”
Each slam of a flipper caused the wild pokemon to send another shock through the pokemon. It did a lot of damage before Penni used drill peck and detached them.
Togedemaru bounced a step or two back, staggered, and then went for an attack. Clumsy footing from the rodent left an opening.
“Aqua jet again!”
Togedemaru had moved out of the way, though their tail was blasted, sending them off balance and tumbling.
“One more time!”
Penni had the ability torrent, and after taking multiple hits back to back Robbin knew this jet would hurt if it hit. A blast once again came from the empoleon as a strong jet flew at the recovering pokemon who couldn’t roll out of the way fast enough. Green spikes surrounded togedemaru, an attempt to shield the incoming blow, but that attack seemed to only work with physical. There was a squeal as the pokemon hit the tree and fell on it’s back, close to fainting.
Robbin grabbed a ball and tossed it. She felt bad for her new pokemon, who basically had been bullied by her empoleon. It made her wonder if they’d get along.
“Good job, Penni! We should have a new friend,” Robbin watched the ball shake once. “Be sure to apologize later, yeah?” She walked over and gave him a stroke under the peak with her finger.
“Lee!” His flippers flopping happily.
