It was Diana's first time in Hoenn's famous Safari Zone so, naturally, she wanted it to be a memorable one. Upon purchasing her ticket and passing the gate, the royal plucked a luxury ball from her belt and summoned her trusted Altaria, Aeolus. The large draconic dove was happy to be out and about, cooing gleefully.

Moments later, the two took to the skies to get a bird's eye view of the teeming forest below. MISTY TERRAIN slowly crept down from the mountains like a wave, and the ground that they could see past the pine trees was covered with craters.

Without warning, a Minior shot down from the sky and nearly pierced Aeolus' wing. Thankfully, most of its wing was floof. The Minior hardly clipped this fluffy down before crashing into the forest before.

Both Diana and Aeolus got an aerial view of the crater below forming with a thunderous boom. When the dust cleared, they saw the Minior below pulsating slow, but decided to move on. God forbid it exploded in their faces should they draw closer.

An idyllic green pasture. A bright blue sky, as wide and magnificent as Thomas Cole painting. And, at the center of it all, a woman and a pony.

After descending upon her celestial bird, the royal had made quick friends with hooved beauty. She patted the side of its head after affectionately feeding it a poffin. It softly neighed in response, delicate and careful not to injure her with its horn as it nuzzled back.

Somehow, an Oricorio had managed to catch an updraft of wind and fly into the sky above. Diana always thought these birds were flightless. Or, at the very least, not capable of reaching the heights her Altaria was.

Inevitably, the poor little pink bird started to falter in the air. No matter how hard it flapped its wings, it couldn't maintain that elevation before spiraling downward. Thankfully, both Diana and Aeolus were quick enough to swoop down and capture it within a pokeball cast by the former.

They had landed once again, once more, before returning to the gates of the Safari Zone to go home. The day had passed rather quickly, and Aeolus had flown quite a lot. As they descended into a cove in the forest below, they were greeted by a Hatenna.

After pleasantries shared and plenty of snacks, the three became quick friends. So much so, in fact, that when Adelaide mounted her draconic bird to depart, the Hatenna took it upon itself to saddle up right beside her. They had made a new and permanent addition to their family, ready to explore the world!
