[attr="class","lars"] pokemon tag @tag words 331 notes oh, this one's comin' with me. | The crackling noise gave it away long before he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up on end due to all the static electricity the incoming wild Pokémon was generating.
It was a good sign, to be honest. His eyes quickly raked the landscape, and before he knew it he easily picked out the yellow and black body of a wild Electabuzz came sauntering into view. And he had just the perfect companion for the job.
Plucking Suijin’s Pokéball and sending the Marshtomp forward, the Electric-type then bashed its fists together in a challenge, making a beeline right where Laurence stood. Holding up a hand to signal the wild Pokémon to stop charging, the beam of red light then transformed into the dual-type mud fish, unfurling himself and squinting at the Electabuzz suspiciously.
“Well, Sui? What’re you waiting for? Get it!” he said, motioning the dual-type forward—and right then and there the Electric-type unleashed an Electro Ball right at the Marshtomp, who merely laughed as the attack bounced off harmlessly on its head fin. Realizing that it was at a disadvantage, the Electabuzz pedaled backwards, but not before a violent Earthquake shook the nearby area—almost causing him to lose his balance in the process!
Throwing out his arms in order to catch his balance, he then hissed a few moments—but the Ground-type attack had done its job, as the Electric-type was also knocked over flat on its back—but it wasn’t done yet! An attempt at a Thunderbolt attack was merely shrugged off by the Marshtomp before a second Earthquake knocked the Electabuzz off its feet once again—and was followed up by a Rock Slide, knocking the woozy Electric-type down and out for the count.
“Dang, that’s nuts,” was all he said as he pulled out a blank Pokéball and tossed it at the Electabuzz, watching as it bounced off the Electric-type’s head as it was sucked into the beam of red light…
