”Come on Poison Jab!” Raziel ordered the Galarian pokemon who seemed to be scratching her neck in disinterest. Like others he was here today for training, to show off that he has been making progress and so here he was, battling it out with another grunt several years his senior. Razz has almost surprisingly had a 2-0 win rate which he has been able to achieve first with his Nidorina, and followed after with his Haunter. Most saw them as flukes as they were narrow wins, but it was a win. [break][break]

Though this current battle seemed to be trouble as the new poison type in his collection didn’t seem to interested in listening to him. Rather the Toxtricity used BOOM BURST and takes out the other’s Raticate. It gives him a 3-0 win now but he’s still embarrassed as its clear he’s doing something wrong with the pokemon isn’t listening right.

the BOOM BURST that was meant to be a POISON JAB suggests as such. regardless, theo clears his throat, then beckons for raziel to approach.

A small meep can't help but escape him as he's suddenly called on by the admin. While the man hasn't been as hard on him as he has others Raziel was still intimidated. He is quick to come when called and stands at attention just as he's been taught to fall in line. [Break][break]

"Uhhh" he thinks about how to properly word this. But after a moment he shrugs, "I already had Nidorina, and I've seen how useful her poison could be, and I thought it would be a good idea to try and focus on that because I thought maybe it could be use effectively. I know poison is used in more than just pokemon battles after all"

"Well thankfully poison is a very versatile typing and there are a number of pokemon that go with it, if I encounter a ground type Nidorina would be a Nidoqueen one day, and also there are poison pokemon like Tentacool," he explains clearly having thought this through on his spare time in the labs, "And I even have a counter against steel types who have immunity with a Salandit I recently got"[break][break]

That wasn't an easy find, especially coming all the way from Galar.

There is a bit of pride there as it seems like he has thought about possible counters, right now his biggest problem would be psychic types. But he does have an espurr of his own to help with that, just because he wants to try specializing doesn't mean he can't have other types. Her perks up a bit at the gift part. "A gift for me?" he questions a bit nervous about it, not because he was ungreatful but worries if taking a gift from the admin would make those around him think he's getting special treatment. "I uhh thank you sir, but are you sure? Some of the others here do better than me" he bows his head and takes the pokeball. He doesn't open it just yet rather wanting to wait for permission.
