[break][break] but even after everything, jayden refuses. he knows his place, more than ever.

[break][break] the rocket whistles sharply. his crobat comes arching down from where it flies through the sky, flashing a QUICK GUARD in the direction of Balder Schwartz and the rocket underboss, trying to provide assist to the latter where possible.

[break][break] he jerks a nod at bryan delarosa in agreement and decides to join him in charging the capital. but first thing's first — "vlad." his gaze shifts, attention now directed at the military captain who seems to be distracted in muttering commands into his speaker. might as well take advantage where advantage was due.

[break][break] a portal of PHANTOM FORCE opens up just beside John Sullivan , as a beam of PSYCHIC from his remaining orbeetle attempts to push the young captain inside of it.

noah faber had fallen, nearby, and they were taking him hostage. Darkrai’s attention was rerouted from the Articuno, falling out of the air, and disappearing into the shadow under a roof, only to then appear right in front noah faber, Cillian Quinn and Rowan Wrynn—back turned, to face all approaching.

A god of dark stared down a would-be hero, quickly oncoming. Kaida Adachi ’s Kommo-o.

A terrifying voice boomed from Darkrai’s shadow of a body, projecting over the terrible METAL SOUND and RATTLESNAKE as best it could. It was all grating, but Darkrai could surely handle terror.

‘LEAVE HIM.’

A warning. A threat.

Then, it reached out with jagged arms and summoned more orbs of DARK VOID outward at the charging dragon, and those surrounding.

Meanwhile, an oncoming ANCIENT POWER from Kaida Adachi ’s Yanmega was met with Lucario’s QUICK GUARD, flashing in front of the massive bird in hopes to keep them both safe. As they continued closing distance, Noctowl’s eyes glowed with HYPNOSIS, widening towards the dragonfly.

Lulu suddenly appeared behind Cillian Quinn and Rowan Wrynn . She’d made her way there in shadow, body coming out of the dark to look down at noah faber , and then up to the back of her patron defending them.

In an attempt to intimidate, maybe, she allowed her body to remain in its shadowy, wisping form. Fear filled the air, and while she perhaps might not be immune to it, she didn’t scare easily these days. She stared towards the League, hoping to make it known: now, there were two avatars standing guard over noah faber .

“Darkrai is with us. Stand down, or face your worst nightmares!” Fuckin’ bitches.

She grinned, though it couldn’t be seen through the thick of her upright abyss.

WITH A FRESH PAIR OF SUNGLASSES, the Councilman, kim cole-essam, evacuates a group of citizens with his HOOPA's HYPERSPACE HOLE under the distraction of a DAZZLING GLEAM. mason moore sees this— however, the window of opportunity to escape closes with a mass gassing of pink. Chu-e Choi's GALARIAN WEEZING uses their Z-MOVE: PIXIE DUST.[break][break]

Across the small plot of land the SILVER SPIRE rests upon, everyone within the vicinity find themselves disoriented, but surprisingly refreshed. Nevertheless, a citizen's TAILLOW finds itself unable to leave by HOLE. Instead, it chirps, flying to a safe spot somewhere else to avoid conflict before it can reconvene with its trainer.[break][break]

mason moore, wet from the WATERFALL, stuck on the BAY LEVEL would be unable to find proper escape for now. In the meantime, jayden cross's CROBAT attempts to protect Chu-e Choi while the Underboss' LOPUNNY MEGA EVOLVES to strike at Kazimir Wynter and his LUCARIO with FIRE PUNCHES. While his LUCARIO is able to avoid the attack thanks to its DETECT— but the POKKENGER is struck hard with a fiery fist. Nevertheless, Kazimir Wynter's LUCARIO will be able to DETECT the location of bryan delarosa's KOMMO-O.[break][break]

While Chu-e Choi's SHADOW DELCATTY manages to SOLAR BEAM the GOLURK, the @ KOMMO-O is forced to PROTECT bryan delarosa's AUDINO from Balder Schwartz's TOGEKISS' AURA SPHERE. In the chaos, Kazimir Wynter's FALINKS is able to ZEN HEADBUTT bryan delarosa's KOMMO-O— and FLINCHES it.[break][break]

Chu-e Choi runs toward Balder Schwartz with a knife in the meantime— but Balder Schwartz wrestles the knife away thanks to his enhanced strength; nevertheless, the Solgaleo Avatar's retaliation is cut short. Although his SHADOW SHIELDON attempts to PROTECT, the distraction provided by jayden cross's CROBAT allows bryan delarosa's GRIMMSNARL to land a powerful HAMMER ARM on the PROTECTING SHADOW SHIELDON. The fist strikes— and slams the SHIELDON into Balder Schwartz— preventing Chu-e Choi from sustaining injury.[break][break]

The force of the GRIMMSNARL's attack and his SHIELDON is enough to cause Balder Schwartz to stumble while bryan delarosa attempts to move to the SILVER SPIRE. As John Sullivan's ORBEETLE stacks a TRICK ROOM atop of the MISTY TERRAIN, the gym leader's MELTAN and ESCAVALIER attack Killian Decker's METAGROSS. A THUNDER WAVE and MAGNET PULL PARALYZE the metal behemoth in place- but the ADMIN is swift to MEGA EVOLVE his Pokemon. As the METAGROSS assumes its new form, it does away with its electrical shackles before METEOR MASHING Balder Schwartz's TOGEKISS.[break][break]

While John Sullivan is preoccupied with the METAGROSS, jayden cross's PHANTUMP attempts to PHANTOM FORCE him. The Rocket's ORBEETLE uses PSYCHIC, pulling the GYM LEADER into the attack with a painful thud.[break][break]

While Balder Schwartz's CELESTEELA is preoccupied with bryan delarosa's approach, Killian Decker and his POKEMON (ALAKAZAM, STARMIE) manage to TELEPORT inside the building. He finds himself in the LIBRARY that Rowan Wrynn and Yui Fujin Silph had infiltrated. Curiously, the bookcases are covered in PROTECTIVE GLASS...[break][break]

As the panicked mason moore attempts to find other ways to escape, a Violet Fairbanks extends an offer to him to fly to LEVEL ONE. During this time, a gravitational pull prevents Violet Fairbanks from moving to LEVEL ONE this round (rolled under 50).[break][break]

As oscar clayton rises from the WATERFALL, he sends his NAGANADEL toward Katherine Fairburne's NOIVERN. In a dramatic transition, a ALLY SWITCH allows oscar clayton's DODRIO to HIGH JUMP KICK Katherine Fairburne's NIHILEGO with potent force. The ULTRA BEAST reels backward, billowing its tentacles forth to unleash a SURF that meets oscar clayton's NIDOQUEEN's SURF. A spectacular splash of brine and sludge crashes in the air and onto the ground in a damp neutralization. [break][break]

Serena Malcolm communicates to her team about Katherine Fairburne's defection. Her SHADOW MIME JR. is adverse to harming the NIHILEGO; however, it obeys its trainer (roll condition successful). The weaker MIND BLOWN is tossed and explodes midair. It is nudged away by Katherine Fairburne's AVATAR POWERS— but the explosion is large enough to harm Katherine Fairburne's SHADOW COFAGRIGUS and herself. Although the DARK SCREEN set by Katherine Fairburne's MEOWSTIC does not affect the potency of Serena Malcolm's SHADOW MIME JR., it does affect Serena Malcolm's LIEPARD's ASSURANCE. The hit lands— but is weakened slightly by an ominous sheen of the protective screen.[break][break]

A LIFE DEW is cast before a HEAL BLOCK lands on the Rocket's GARDEVOIR. For five rounds, the GARDEVOIR can not use HEALING MOVES. With a vengeance, Katherine Fairburne's ORIGIN FORME GIRATINA finally arrives. Its threatening presence accompanies a powerful DRAGON BREATH that strikes oscar clayton, Serena Malcolm and their Pokemon with an agonizing pain.[break][break]

A DRAGON BREATH from GIRATINA rages in the background as Adrian Malcolm is forced on the defensive. His MAGNEZONE is released, drawing any METAL OBJECTS TOWARD it. A nearby CROWBAR flies and sticks to the POKEMON with a clang. While his BRONZOR and HONEDGE raises defenses, his MAGNEZONE LOCKS ON for an ensured hit.[break][break]

Sénon Game continues his onslaught of FIRE and FLAME. A SAFEGUARD prevents BURNS from being inflicted by Sénon Game's CHARIZARDS— and as the SUNNY DAY glares above them, Adrian Malcolm and his POKEMON bide their time. Adrian Malcolm's HONEDGE nullifies Sénon Game's WARTORTLE's WATER SPOUT— but is struck by the DITTO CHARIZARD'S INFERNO and is close to FAINTING. Nevertheless, Adrian Malcolm has the tools to change the tide of battle... and no one notices what is lurking in the shadows, but him.[break][break]

A weakened noah faber finds his pokeballs seized by Rowan Wrynn. Tied up, watches as noah faber's Pokemon come to assist. Lulu Flint and Cillian Quinn's DARKRAI and SHADOW LUGIA reposition themselves. Lulu Flint too, appears behind them, emerging from the shadows and miasma of the UNDERBOSS' creation.[break][break]

While Lulu Flint's LUCARIO and NOCTOWL defend against Kaida Adachi's YANMEGA, the prehistoric bug is able to evade the HYPNOSIS thanks to its SPEED BOOST. A SHEER COLD howls across the level— but Cillian Quinn's EELEKTROSS, having prepared a powerful ZAP CANNON, launches its attack, which strikes the ICE LEGENDARY with a terrible thundering.[break][break]

Lulu Flint's DARKRAI defies all rebellion. A DARK VOID descends upon the charging POKEMON— forcing noah faber's MACHAMP and BOUFFALANT to fall asleep. The gym leader's BULL falls into a slumber in midair before plummeting off the side. With Laurence Anderson by her side, Kaida Adachi proves to be a resilient, unstoppable force. Her KOMMO-O manages to evade the DARK VOID as her EKANS uses Z-MOVE: RATTLESNAKE. EVERYONE on LEVEL TWO would be able to hear a terrible RATTLING that almost PARALYZES people into a brief shock. Furthermore, Laurence Anderson' SILVALLY increases the decibels to a painful degree with a METAL SOUND.[break][break]

Kaida Adachi's KOMMO-O charges in close to the QUINNS (Cillian Quinn, Lulu Flint, Rowan Wrynn) and buys some time for the LEAGUE to act. The SHEER COLD is dampened by a SHADOW DELPHOX's FLAMETHROWER— but Laurence Anderson' METAGROSS manages to TELEKINESIS noah faber's POKEBALLS from Rowan Wrynn instead.[break][break]

CAVE OF ORIGIN

"lopez, your ability to negotiate leaves much to be desired." Declan Walsh then listens intently to captain Dross. At the sight of kyle lopez's Solgaleo, he frowns: a sharp angle.[break][break]

"apologies, but i could not help myself from assuming the form of someone so handsome. nevertheless, the trick worked. you two are here. a witness and signer." the shadows begin to fade as the SOLGALEO begins to channel an odd energy. A tired sigh leaves the man as shadows swirl around him. "looks like our time has been cut short. i'm feeling generous tonight. you'll find the shard deeper within the cave. we'll discuss the specifics soon."[break][break]

The SOLGALEO's particular COSMIC POWER nullifies AVATAR POWERS— and so, DECLAN WALSH AND THE SHARD HE HOLDS disappears: an illusion created from shadows, directed from afar. the shadows creeping along the walls kill the light from the torches after Raziel Beckett and angelo vestri arrive just in time to see WALSH's ominous face stare at them as he "fades."[break][break]

Locke Jamison would arrive some time later— but it would take some time for him to catch up to anyone else.[break][break]

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

skyler dross WOULD NOTICE the CRACKED BLUE ORB in her possession beginning to quake. Should the group within the cave venture deeper inside, they would eventually encounter a deep chamber. On a stone podium, the LAST REMAINING BLUE SHARD rests, secured by a metal strap. However, more ominously, directly ahead, they would see a SLUMBERING KYOGRE, evidently still resting from THE ULTRA BEAST WAR, treading in cave seawater...[break][break]

The ORB quakes violently again, for SOOTOPOLIS CITY REARRANGES ITSELF ONCE MORE. Some find the ground they stand on to flip upside down. Surprisingly, the trainers and their Pokemon do not fall. They stand, upside down in a disorienting fashion. From this vantage point, they would be able to see the chaos of the level directly below them and vice versa.[break][break]

Most apparent, is the SILVER SPIRE that turns UPSIDE DOWN. Water rushes from the temple's foundations as it flips, revealing an an elaborate ancient ruin built underneath it. While Killian Decker is tossed within the windowed library inside the SPIRE, he would find slots opening up in the walls. They expel WATER, filling the room up. The ADMIN must act swiftly or else, they may DROWN within the library. As WATER fills the room while furniture and debris fall toward him and his Pokemon, he spots a MEGA SHARD stuck within a covered BOOKSHELF. However, does he dare retrieve it when the risk of drowning grows with every passing second?[break][break]

bryan delarosa may also choose this distraction to attempt to bypass Balder Schwartz's CELESTEELA to enter the SPIRE— but he may have second thoughts as the structure flips on its head.[break][break]

Finally, you CAN NOT ENTER THE ANCIENT RUINS connected to the SILVER SPIRE.[break][break]

SNAKES & LADDERS

THIS EVENT'S BATTLEFIELD has been separated into three levels only now (please view map). For this round, CHARACTERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO ATTACK THOSE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THEM.[break][break]

At the beginning or end of their posts, characters can choose to leap up or down between levels within the same section (e.g. LEVEL 1A ↔ LEVEL 1B). When they leap, a gravitational force will snap them to the earth. Those on LEVEL 1A and LEVEL 2A will be upside down.[break][break]

Furthermore, characters can choose to utilize the WATERFALLS. At the BEGINNING or END of their posts, they may use WATERFALL 1 to move from LEVEL 1 AND THE BAY LEVEL and vice-versa. They may also use WATERFALL 2 to move from THE BAY LEVEL TO LEVEL 2 and vice-versa.[break][break]

The Trickster, kim cole-essam, can use his newfound powers as Hoopa avatar, to TELEPORT ANYWHERE ON THE MAP with his Pokemon. He can do this at the end of his post.[break][break]

Lulu felt the noise around RATTLE her to her core, and her shadow was momentarily rooted to the ground. She found the strength only to whistle into the wind, summoning her Noctowl and Lucario to retreat from Kaida Adachi ’s Yanmega.

The Noctowl swooped in high over the scene, allowing Lucario to jump off its back and sail towards Kaida Adachi 's still charging Kommo-o instead, with an AURA SPHERE. The bird continued its flight towards Lulu, Rowan Wrynn , and Cillian Quinn , attempting to erect a PROTECT around them in time if needed. Although, it was of course possible that neither would work, as the sound grated, and was especially hard on Noctowl’s sensitive hearing. It attempted to fight through! For the Team!

Meanwhile, Darkrai faced the oncoming threats, and its voice boomed again as it remained placed between League and its saviors and allies, along with their captive.

Darkrai rose, and darkness began to swirl outward from its divine form, spilling exponentially into the world to blot out stars, and even the moon from the area surrounding.

Fears might rise into the blackest night as the Legendary’s Z-MOVE, KNIGHT OF TERROR attempted to take hold, and plunge Palkia’s already disorienting terrain in an abyss of blackout nothing.

Nothing, but the worst waking terrors imaginable for those who opposed Rocket in their vicinity. Darkrai would bring to life their deepest fears, and out of the dark, they might find them, reaching out to PARALYZE  with god-given horror.


Lulu looked in the direction she assumed her brothers to be. While they’d be unaffected by Darkrai’s Z-MOVE, they’d all still likely be in the dark, same as everyone else, and there was no telling how the grating sounds around had taken effect.

A library isn't what he'd expected to find waiting for him inside the spire. His first clue that something strange is afoot is the glass covering the bookshelves. "Let's -" and Killian's cut off, his entire world spinning upside down as the tower flipped. [break][break][break]

"Fuck!" rag dolling around the place is the least of his concerns. Water's quick to pour in from various openings along the walls. Did his entry do that or the sudden lurching of the tower?[break][break]

The glint of a Mega Shard captured his attention during his drop. Interesting. Killian whistled, signaling his Alakazam to use Telekinesis on both himself and her. The two of them stop mid-air, suspended.[break][break]

There's not much time. Tempting as all these books are, they aren't worth dying over. "Up." he pointed to the shelf with the shard, and Alakazam floated them both to it.[break][break]

His heart's racing. Even this is stupid, but fuck - [break][break]

kim cole-essam entered the spire in a blink. Doing, well, whatever the fuck he did that spawned those rings. It drained the room of water, and Kilian wasn't dying - for the moment anyway.[break][break]

"Oh, you know. I just thought I'd check out a few books. Maybe go for a quick swim. Didn't expect to find the pool inside the library, though." Killian smiled. "Thanks, by the way. You're the best plumber I've had."[break][break]

He shouldn't really be teasing the Avatar but whatever. One had already strangled him.[break][break]

Killian whistled casually, "Sooo." and nodded to the bookshelves. "You gonna let me check out a book or not?" In the water below, Starmie responded to the signal. Unleashing a blast of Psychic energy, not kim cole-essam but on the glass protecting the bookshelves to shatter them.[break][break]

The rain of glass and books would be dangerous for both. Regardless, Killian would use the opportunity to grab the Mega Shard.[break][break]
