another press conference concluded but this time on the behalf of silph co. fernando may not be the acting leader from an internal standpoint but as far as the outside world is concerned, you cannot take the silph out of silph co. flanked by his side is one of the league's appointed bodyguards. the enigma of a women is someone he's gotten accustomed to - out of exposure and spite - curtailing him for every league sponsored event.
the winter ball, open wintertide, and other expansive, all inclusive events had been the exception. for gathers of such a wide magnitude, they reasoned that they had enough of a security detail to merit allowing fernando his autonomy. for instances like these, when the top brass and other high standing figures of hoenn's elite are gathered in one place, they don't dare leave him exposed. not after what happened to dahlia goode . having been one of the few supportive parties of the old guard, fernando finds himself conflicted, vindictive of the inadequacy of her legacy.
at moment's like these he's willing to wager that kim cole-essam and gilbert valeria don't hold the same responsibilities. on the surface, thirteen is nothing more then a hound meant to play guard dog. he knows she's there to keep tabs on him. he's too paranoid not to pick up on it. and, even if he's wrong, it's a good habit to keep. it'll lessen the chances of him slipping.

they cross another corridor and enter into one of the side hallways that lead out of league head quarters. fernando's already loosening his tie, feigning exhaustion while letting the stress decompress. the few windows that grace the building paint it in a soft purplish orange, the perfect shade to commemorate another sunset.
