"Ramsay. What the hell!"

Well that was kind of fair. Honestly maybe he was going a bit overboard, but if there was any time to set off small to medium explosions indoors it was during a Soiree. Everyone knows that Soiree is Kalosian for 'danger'.

What wasn't fair was the Pokeball that whapped right into the back of Zac's skull. He struggled for balance, just as a second Pokeball came soaring through the air, knocking him off the green Minior. He stumbled, slipped, and barely managed to grab the black Minior as he fell. 

Suspended above the crowd, Zac spun slowly, trying to pull himself back up. He caught sight of and standing together, holding Pokeballs. "I knew it!"

Anyways, Eris finds herself swept up in the tide of moving figures, each desperate to grasp at the pokemon when it floats by their head. As soon as she breaks line of sight, she's separated from her dearest companion, his yowls drowned out by the cacophony of foolhardy collectors. An endless wave of people, a sea of unfamiliar faces that blend together.

Trapped... Suffocating... Overwhelmed... She's frozen, sweat collecting on her palms as her eyes dart from one figure to the next. Where should she go? Where can she go? She wants to get away, needs to escape. Her breath hitches, her cheeks burning as the world begins to blur. Her feet try to lead her somewhere, but she doesn't quite know her final destination. It's only when she bumps into a solid wall that she stops, stumbling backwards from the force and falling down.

Well… this was getting interesting. At this point, Maverick decided to stand back and watch the show. A hint of a grin tugged the edges of his lips, amused by the attempts to get the unown. Honestly, he didn’t even really want it. The only reason was for this device. His gaze flickered to his umbreon, seeing her dance in place. “Go,” he chuckled, arms crossed over his chest, “Go play.” The umbreon let out a loving meow, darting to chase after the unown too with the human. Maverick shook his head, observing and waiting for his shot to attempt a capture.

it was a rare thing for them to indulge in the simple act of dance, the celebi spending a majority of their time in isolation within cait's forest. they relished the moment as they coordinated with lele, their bodies spinning around one another as chaos reigned all around them. the unown was mercilessly chased, explosions sputtered into existence and humans frantically sought out a q-shaped prize. 

and celebi could only describe such a moment as surprisingly pleasant, overall.

cait emerged from the bathroom, having cleaned herself up for the second time that night. thankfully she had avoided making a mess of her formal gown, her stomach thoroughly emptied and her eyes only slightly red. she blinked in confusion as people ran around, frowning slightly as pearl soon joined her.

whatever was the deal with and was unknown to him, but since chaos was happening, kyle wanted in.

"i don't even know where terrakion is," he tells . he then looks on the ground and sees the pokemon staring from the ground, still watching over kyle. "i think he hates someone inside, or else he'd be in!"

it's probably and , but kyle wasn't in that excursion to know what happened.

all of a sudden, he turns and throws a pokeball at again. "why are we doing this again?" he asks, sitting on his flying dog.

The dancefloor was a damn mess.

It actually looked super beautiful with the color-coded minior chasing the unown about.

"Cait!" She wasn't where he'd left her. None of them were.

Shit.

It was his own impatience biting him in the ass. He was going to as that kid () to keep an eye on Cait for him, just in case some shit like this happened.

Kyle soared past on a flying dog, reminding Zac that he actually had a way better flying Pokemon: Steelix. 

"Perfect!" he said to himself. Now, all he had to do was reach into his pocket and grab the ball. Slowly, carefully, and trying not to look at Kyle zipping around on that damn dog, Zac let go of the Minior with one hand. He swung, body dipping as he gripped the cracks in the shell. "Easy Merle, it's alright." 

Zac reaching into his pocket with one hand. He pulled out the ball, and was about to throw it up into the air when his grip gave way and he fell twenty feet to the floor.

matias looks over at the ground and sees terrakion, and the sight of the legendary only makes him chuckle.

his attention's dragged away to , watching as he struggles to pull out a pokeball only to eventually fall. matias could simply look away and ignore the incoming peril zac's about to face, but he's too kind for that.

so, with a whistle, virizion changes course and leaps across the room to catch in the air.

It was all instinct when one of his rangers was in trouble. He dashed with Chimchar behind him effectively breaking 's fall with something that was part catching him and part being his landing pad.

Or wait, he'd actually been trampled/knocked from the air by Virizion who actually caught Zac. Damn, .

Thankfully Zac was thoroughly Robust, and he landed without issue. 

"Whew! Bit of a drop from up there, ay?" he said to , just as crashed into him, a second too late to catch him just just in time for a big hug. Much more than the run-of-the-mill Slateport Shuffle.

Zac reciprocated, drawing his friend up into a huge, bone-cracking hug. Hopefully didn't get jealous.

To nobody’s surprise—the party devolved into mass fucking chaos over a singular Pokémon that had seemingly caught everyone’s attention.

Alexei could only look over the crowd and see—a lot of people he knew by sight—chasing after the Unown. Well, he couldn’t blame them, it was all tied to that weird device that had made itself known while buckling down and cooking for a dog and/or a cat chef.

“This is fucked up,” he remarked to the bluenette (who he hoped was still near him) as he saw that the previous Pokéball he’d thrown didn’t connect—but it was… flying back?

“Carina?!” he exclaimed as he saw the glittering sparkle of the tiny scarf that denoted his Ribombee as she flew back, balancing the Pokéball on her tiny limbs.

“There you are! Where’s Arkose?” he asked, looking around for the Lycanroc—wherever the canid Pokémon had gone off to.

And since everyone was literally going at it in a free-for-all…

He took aim and chucked the empty Pokéball again.

"did you know about fifty percent of my cases when i was a police officer on slateport before was looking for lost pokeballs?" he tells . "this reminds me of that."

his eyes are just on the fallen pokeball when starts FAT SHAMING again.

"yeah, i don't think his frame can fit the door as well," he unwittingly says, though his was less of an insult as it is a fact.

he looks down and waves at terrakion before yelling. "can you take care of that pokeball?" he asks the legendary, before it destroys the ball to free the pokemon inside.

after all, terrakion is for the pokemon and against the oppression and slavery from human hands, or something like that.
