Who would've thought that it would snow in Hoenn?

Jessie had only really seen snow in movies and TV shows. Seeing this, the wonderous thing in person... it was as magical as she could imagine! She was bundled in her coat since the temperature was dropping with the change in season.

She was told that the snow artificial, but it looked and felt cold to her. Jessica watched some of the gang members running around like kids, throwing snow balls making snow angels with a bright smile on her face.

"Who knew they could act like children..."

does it usually snow in hoenn? niko can't seem to remember for whatever reason. either way, he's appreciating it now, more so because of the company he's with.[break][break]

curling a snow ball in his big palms, he tosses it over at one of the kids, watching it smack against the back of their head with a satisfying thud.[break][break]

"gotcha."[break][break]

he chuckles, then ducks out of the way before they can get him back.[break][break]

apparently, they aren't the only ones acting like children.[break][break]

Jessie looked over, spotting Niko throwing a ball at one of the kids. She couldn't help but laugh at him. It was endearing, seeing the leader of the gang participate in the fun and games.

She scooped up snow of her own and threw it in the air, allowing it to shower over her head. It dusted her hair and freckled over her eyelashes.

"Hmm?"

Jessica walked over, the snow crunching under her feet as she approached Niko.

"The snow is beautiful, isn't it?"

Jessie stopped in front of him, still gazing over the snow. That is, until he tipped her head up, forcing her to meet his eyes instead. She couldn't help but laugh softly.

"You're flattering me," she teased, reaching to touch his face.

It was cool to the touch, from the weather.

There's butterflies in her stomach. She closes her eyes, waiting for his lips to meet hers-

Until he retreats and yells at one of the kids, almost startling Jessie. She laughed, nonetheless.

"Get him again, Brycen!" she said, pulling out of Niko's grip to gather her own ball to throw at him.

another snowball smacks into his large shoulder as he scoops down low to ball up his own. after a moment, he chucks it straight at brycen, only to turn to meet a flurry of snowballs being thrown his way.

Jessie stuck her tongue out at him.

"No hard feelings, right? I'm sure you can get me back later..."

She'd let him figure out what that meant on his own. In the mean time, she balled up more snow to help the kids pelt their gang leader with snow. She was a giggling mess, unable to help herself.

She was too busy running around before she slipped on a slick patch, falling down in the snow with a surprised yelp.

niko's been doing it wrong. his large hands allow for a few smaller snowballs rather than one large one. he starts splitting them up, then throws them at the kids around him, retaliating in full force.[break][break]

he rises, standing up straight before running over towards jessie. he slides by her side, avoiding a few snowballs that come his way.[break][break]

"your turn, jessie."[break][break]

with her on the ground, it's almost too easy for him to mount her, and it's there that he smooshes a snowball against her face.

Niko's shadow is the first thing to announce his presence. Jessie was going to sit up, but he was suddenly above her, keeping her pinned to the ground.

"What- Niko!"

A snowball was mashed against her face. She let out a squeal, squirming under him. Reaching up, she tried to grab his arms, his shoulders, anything.

"Mercy!" she said between laughs.

he scoffs, laughing as he reaches for more snow to pile onto her. but he does stop eventually, if only to catch a snowball that's thrown at him. it smacks against his palm, falling in chunks of snow.[break][break]

with no more snowballs flying his way, he sighs, then leans down closer to jessie. his voice lowers, a grin creeping.[break][break]

No mercy seemed to be given to poor Jessica. She was encased in cold snow. Though, she would've truly fought it if she wasn't laughing so hard at Niko. When he was done, she looked at him with a pretend pout.

"What, I can't mess with you? No fair, Niko."

Wiggling her arms free, she scooped herself from her snowy confines. She sat up, only to reach up and pull him down. If she had the high ground, she'd flip him so she straddled his hips.

"Keep in mind, I'm not always a damsel in distress," she said with a wink.

More snow is shoved at her. She squeals, retreating from her dominant position to stand up and shake it off. Jessie stuck her tongue out at Niko, but she's full of mischief rather than annoyed.

She makes a beeline to one of the nearby buildings, stopping in the open doorway. She seemed triumphant, pointing at the ground.

"You can't get me here. Snow is off limits. That's the rule."
