The RATICATE twitched. The rocks had fallen upon it with great fury. Now all that lingered was the scent of copper in the air.

On his knees, Belial held its tail in his hands. Silent. Eerie. He doesn't even notice someone approaching.

He was… for lack of a better word, tired of loitering around Sootopolis with almost nothing to do.

Could anyone blame him if he’d just vanished for a good while from the City in the Crater to stretch his legs elsewhere?

Belial blinks out of his stupor at the sound of a voice. Was he hearing things? He turns over his shoulder and is immediately relieved at the fact that he isn't. Though the embarrassment that washes over him like a wave is arguably worse, he thinks.

He sharply turns away.

With a sudden case of cold detachment, he drops the Raticate corpse from his arms like a heap of unwanted trash, rising from the floor and wiping his hands clean with a few slaps on the side of his pant legs.

"... It's already dead."
