"Sounds like you're gonna have to rename your Ditto, then... when you send him off to school, he's gonna start saying everything you say," Jessie said with a laugh.

She took the baby from him, cradling him gently against her chest. She rested his head against her breast, a naturally comfortable position for her as she rocked him.

"I promise I got him. I have like a million younger siblings. I can handle him," she promised, leaning down to kiss Niko.

"And please, don't shake him to make him stop crying. I'll teach you how to make him calm down. Rest, okay?"
