Once again, Thomas, or Daisuke as he came to be known, found himself watching over the area where he had planted the Gracedia Seed. Perhaps it was excitement, perhaps it was paranoia, but something kept him glued to the site. In any case, the dark-haired man quietly tended to the plant, having just finished watering the plant.

A Venipede attempted to launch venomous needles at the human and the plant he was tending to. Thomas, quickly acting on instinct, grabbed a Pokeball, and deployed the Pokemon to shield them from the Poison Sting. Ripper's body took the venomous needles, more annoyed than anything. Thanks to his metal exoskeleton, the Scizor wasn't phased by the attack. In retaliation, the Scizor launched himself at the Venipede with a Bullet Punch.

The Venipede, in a panic, performed a Defense Curl, in an effort to protect himself from the onslaught. But alas, the impact of the Scizor's pincer was more than enough to send the insect flying. Upon landing, the Venipede splayed out, unconscious from the blow he suffered.

Satisfied, Ripper returned to guard his master.

A Mandibuzz would fly in, spotting the human. She would attempt to knock him, and his plant down with a Gust of wind. Seeing this, Ripper quickly stepped in, taking the blast of wind.

Angrier than anything, Ripper came charging in with a Bullet Punch. In retaliation, the Mandibuzz would pluck at the armored insect. This did little to phase the seasoned Pokemon, who responded by smashing her head with a Brick Break.

The Mandibuzz began to glow. Quickly acting, Ripper would go in for a Bug Bite, opening his pincer before lunging at the creature. Upon getting a grip on her, the Scizor would violently throttle and clamp down on the buzzard with his pincer, before letting her go with a throw.

The Mandibuzz ceased glowing, knocked out by the final attack. Ripper would return to his master.

Ripper would spot a Sewaddle attempting to get to the plant. Upon being spotted, the insect would attempt to slow down the Scizor with a Sticky Web. It would also slow down the human, and any other Pokemon attempting to interrupt him from his meal.

Problem was, Ripper's Bullet Punch allowed him to throw himself right at the Sewaddle, unimpeded from the Sticky Web. The attack would send the insect flying into the brush.

The Sewaddle would attempt to crawl out of the bush, only to fall unconscious.

With a sigh, Thomas got ready to contain the three Pokemon that attacked them. He'd release them far away from his crop.
