Seeing how Littleroot had been on the suffering end of a large fire. The towns folk saw it fit to do something a little more festive. A play of a Fairytale that has past through the town for years and while Pryde cared not for this tale just knew he could send something over to get a little money on the side for himself. [break][break]

The Lunatone was cast more as a prop than an actual actor as it was ask to be the 'moon' for the play seeing as the tale was about the legends of the moon. So get the moon pokemon to do it right? As it's cue came it shining on the actors below with the light and glitter created by it's MOONLIGHT during the rehearsal.

Even in the heart of a criminal empire, one doesn't get rich by resting on their laurels. Gavin seeks his income in whatever ways he can, and one such tradition has been to offer up Pokémon for any jobs that might come their way.

Quick, easy, and he didn't have to lift a finger.

His Lanturn has no fingers to lift, but she does her best to ILLUMINATE the pool in which it had been placed. It was set to look like a pond upon which the Lunatone's moonlight was cast, and the Lanturn's light compliments the moon's own.

Occasionally, she swims in circles to make the pool ripple and sway as if in some breeze. Actors dance beneath the moon and around the pool, and the poor Lanturn wonders what it had done to deserve this mundane work.

Theatre had never been Skyler's thing, by far. But the captain had never been one to turn her nose up at making some money on the side, and she had pokemon aplenty for this sort of job.

Polaris didn't seem too enthused either - probably due to its lack of an actual face with which to express itself.

Regardless, rehearsal went by without a hitch and the stage was set for the amateur performance by nightfall. Following the actors on stage with ILLUMINATE proved to be a relatively easy task, hindered only by Skyler falling asleep midway through the third soliloquy of the evening (I mean, who wouldn't? none of the characters had been murdered yet).

Hopefully no one heard her snore. At least she only drooled a little.

Talia adored theatre. It was impossible not to, in some ways, given her upbringing in Ecruteak. The dancer loved the feel of the spotlight on her as she performed her routines, and it made guiding her Starmie's ILLUMINATE a simple enough task for tonight indeed.

After all, a subtle shift in movement could highlight the right actor at just the right moment, and Talia kept her eyes peeled for every such opportunity to guide the actors to a satisfying curtain call.

When the performance at last concluded, none clapped louder than Talia herself -- though her proud smile was lit for her Starmie, not the performers, who took an awkward bow at its mistress's praise.

Adrian's Starmie teeters along the light fixtures high above, its many pointed digits peg-legging its way across metal railings deftly despite a slightly audible clank with every movement. Sometimes the lighting had to be dynamic, or come in from an angle. It was a shame the manmade solutions were unavailable. Starmie would have to make do.[break][break]

The ambient light of ILLUMINATE helped to bring the stage into view when the curtains peeled back, their leading star taking a step forward as a SPOTLIGHT flashed on and locked onto them as they crossed the breadth of the stage. When the scene closed, the light snapped shut, but the next scene quickly approached as the stage hands removed and erected props behind the closed curtains.[break][break]

Starmie clatters towards stage left to get in position all the while, that the immersion of their theater may continue.[break][break]

Talk about 'good work if you could get it'.

Here he'd applied to work his Lunatone back stage to help with the lighting but they were so impressed with the cut of Lunatone's jaw they a casting job instead.

But it was as the stand-in for another Lunatone already cast as the moon.

So largely the Head Ranger and his moon-lit pokémon got to hang out during production and crash and catering spread which was actually a 5 out of 10 at best.

He tried not to mope about at all the other trainers using fuggin starmie all over the place while his died during their trip to seaworld.

Angelo doesn't stick around to supervise, with the coins jingling in his pocket the production staff are left with their willing participant.

He's got what he wanted and they, well... they might have gotten more than they bargained for.

On the stage an Alolan Exeggutor presents itself, tall and swaying, its crown of leaves rustling. It's only when large feet begin to stomp with set-quaking ferocity that the crew would realise that the palm tree was attempting to dance.

And they'd also realise that their enthusiastic auditioner was destined for a role backstage, as opposed to center.

It's given a costume of dark cosmic blue to blend into the 'night sky'.

With a vengeful draconic demeaner at having its opportunity for fame snatched, from each of the three sulky heads it opts instead to give the stage the most dazzling MOONLIGHT they'd ever seen.

Promptly blinding the prince and sending him stumbling off the stage.
