this wasn't worth the hike.

marcel rests his hands on his knees as he catches his breath, carefully aware of the woman who'd almost be at meteor falls by this point. of course she was a hiker. of course it was her, of all people, that knew something rocket wanted to know.

he's very much regretful of the fact that there was nothing of use on her computer.

steeling his resolve, marcel stands up straight and carries on treading the path before him.

he probably should be paying more attention, but marcel's too preoccupied with the thought of his target, what her next actions would be, and why in arceus' name she'd chosen today to walk up here.

barely noticing the pokemon in his way before almost walking into it, marcel gives a start as he suddenly notices the deino. he didn't have time for a battle, and it seemed docile enough. making great efforts as to not disturb the dragon, he makes his way around it before walking on.

the next pokemon is a little harder to avoid. marcel spots the bisharp standing on the path a metre or so away. he's already got his noivern's pokeball at the ready, but he falters and reconsiders. it'd make a good addition to his team.

this would probably save more time than a battle, anyway. before the pokemon can spot him, marcle throws a pokeball.
