Keenan was back to check on his odd flower. And had to shoo away several Pokemon! His Houndoom's growling helped a lot, but when he started throwing Dark Pulse at them, they really got the message. Checking on the flower, it looked like that while it had been disturbed, it hadn't been damaged in any way. Sighing in relief, he decided it was time to stick around until it bloomed. Looking around, he figured maybe some stragglers need to be taught a lesson. Don't mess with people's flowers! So off on a search he did to defend his little flower. Hopefully all the trouble would be worth it...

A Scyther was the first to show up and challenge them. His Houndoom was more than ready. It opened up with a Quick Attack. Only to go straight into a Flamethrower. Other Scyther took their fallen friend and ran off. Keenan wasn't interested, he already had a Beedrill and an Ariados...and Vikavolt. The bug-type really had to interest him. That was one down, but he could hear a lot more out there that was interested in getting past him and his trusty doggo. Houndoom howled out another challenger, seeing if anything wanted to take the bait. Wild or trained, it seemed everyone knew what a challenge was. If this was going to make sure no wild Pokemon was going to mess with his odd seedling, then so be it.

Looking around, no one wanted some yet. But from the noises, he could tell it was only a matter of time. He had spoiled their fun after all. He almost missed it. If it weren't for a sudden turn on his Houndoom to look at him, Keenan might have missed it. Looking around, he saw...an apple? Then...it attacked his leg, making him trip and Astonishing him! Kee flipped himself around and sat on his butt, just looking at it. Didn't look like he hurt his leg. But before him was a pair of mad looking eyes. Taking out a pokedex, he scanned the creature. An...Applin? It was adorabl! And spunky. "Well aren't you just the cutest little guy. Houndoom!"

His doggo walked up to it, mad already, and just glared at the little guy. What Keenan didn't notice was that one of his Pokeballs had fallen out of his pack. It was an empty one. The Applin tried to use Astonish at his opponent. Only...for nothing to happen. Flames gathered around the fire-type's mouth, ready to torch the little guy. Only for Applin to get scared and go into the loose Pokeball. Huh, that was easy...
