lethe watches the chaos of the moment around them, unsure what to even react to. too much is happening for them to have any particular feelings about one thing, so they’re trying to just move on, handle themself (and aries too, they guess). the clones had been horrifying to witness at first, but lethe hadn’t seen an opportunity or reason for them to get involved, at least for right now — everyone else had seemed to have it more or less handled, including aries with her luxray and the small, blue-haired man’s (the man wasn’t very intimidating to begin with, so lethe didn’t doubt the amount of people there could handle it). it appeared to have become a reflection now anyways, so lethe somewhat doubted anything could be done. aries is ahead of them, with a confused look on their face. at first, they think it's because of the events around them, which lethe agrees with. but soon they realize the look is directed at them, and seriously, why is she looking at them like that? lethe wonders if she’s judging them, if they should be judging her back equally. giving her a confused look quickly before, they turn to focus on the riddle in front of them.[break]
lethe doesn’t know much about the pokemon on the screen. the two at the bottom, she’s especially confused by. the ones that stick out to her, though, are the ones which lack many seemingly complicated patterns or parts to their appearance. there’s a few that seem to have fewer adornments than the others, but three of them appear to match each other, so they doubt it’s the one that’s meant to not belong. the final one also appeared to be far more gray than the others, lacking in as much color.

Scan two? What even? But the robotic voice mentions four, so there's more to come after this one. But other than announcing this 'second scan' has been completed, the mercenary doesn't particularly feel any different, nor has anything changed about her... at least, not that she's taken note of yet.

Still, her focus shifts back to the path she walks and soon enough makes the click that what she's seeing is akin to data, and that their form is somewhat off, and at the same time, somewhat familiar. When she recalls a peculiar form to be similar to the strange pokémon she saw running after the curator back at the museum. What did the books call it again... Unown? She wonders whether's there a connection between the two, one she doesn't currently see, but it's not like she can just magically ask the robotic voice for a more in-depth explanation.

When she pulls her eyes away from the many numbers of data underneath her, another dome has settled over the group that shared the path to Terminal 2. Each seemingly taking their turn selecting something on a terminal in the middle of the dome; by the look of it she's one of the last to check it out, and upon closer inspection she sees everyone picking the same choice. Pack mentality, but seeing how well it worked out last time, and how uncertain she is about the time remaining to make her own choice, Yvaine decides to mull it over as she takes her turn at the terminal.

Yvaine recognises quite a few of the pokémon shown on the pop-up box below, mostly from the books her father used to read, and some from the pictures of a set of classified files she'd lifted off an unknowing scientist. The canines on the end of the list however intrigue her, for she doesn't recognize them one bit, nor has she ever heard a single mention of their appearance. Yet Zamazenta's image makes her chuckle, seeing the resemblance in the scarred, red-maned beast. "You'd think we look alike," A fleeting thought, but one that makes the mercenary curious enough. If she gets out of this unscathed she might have to look into that one.... "Darkrai it is, then." she mutters, selecting Darkrai on the box before moving away from the terminal again.

Klaus will be the first to admit when he doesn't know something. It's easy, really. Just say you don't know. And while that can be helpful, in this situation he feels overwrought and twitchy, his magenta-pink gaze flitting about in uncertainty as he looks over the selection of pokemon offered in answer to the presented riddle.

He's too strung out on nerves to focus, so he does the next practical thing and watches what everyone else picks.

Hanging back behind everyone, attempting to keep to himself, when it's finally Klaus's turn he moves hesitantly to the terminal. His hand shakes, and he glances around once more as if attempting to find some sort of anchor to steady him. Finding none, an audible swallow sounds from the young man before he reaches out and taps the image of Reshiram like so many before him.

Penelope's heart beat in tandem with her rapid steps. Hurriedly she moved past Greyson Connors , ignoring his attempt of a smile. The only person to catch her attention was nagi miwa, who kept to her side both during and beyond the initial movement towards the third terminal.

While quiet, she offered the man an appreciative soft smile. It was hard moving forward - especially after what happened - but at least, with him, it was a bit easier to breathe.

The drawing conversation tugged at the peaks of her ears, pulling her forward. They were discussing the riddle. The puzzle their game overlords had set forth. Knowing her own skills, she kept out of the conversation, preferring to slink into the imaginary bleachers.

It wasn't until an unfamiliar voice broke through the static that she turned, curious. "Hello."

when they arrived in the terminal, it closed around them. the screens extended with a riddle, and her brow furrowed. as rocket’s head scientist, lulu had learned a thing or two about ultra beasts. still, she could think of nothing better than kyle lopez ’s suggestion. her eyes passed briefly to the champion, noting he’d also avoided the obvious choice of terminal.[break][break]

but it’s fine! this is fine. in the absence of memory and good sense, his brain loops a nervous mantra: bigger. worries. [break][break]

and with that thought, he stretches out his hand, and taps tentatively — still squinting — on xurkitree.
