But that doesn't mean she can't feel them with the same sort of intensity.[break][break] It's a slow, sad loneliness that eats at her during the most brilliant days of summer. Perhaps Luka feels it more deeply now, knowing what looms over the horizon for Hoenn. She'd like to spend what might very well be her last days surrounded by the people she loves, but Remiel Calcifet is no longer someone she can turn to for comfort.[break][break] At least she has her pokemon to turn to. A walk along the beach is far less lonesome with her Vaporeon at her side. It's perfectly pleasant, in fact! Warm sunlight, a cool sea breeze, water lapping lazily at her ankles. Bella Luna prances a few paces ahead of her— at least, until another beachgoer swims into view.[break][break] With a playful chirp Bella Luna dives into the water and disappears amongst the waves. A moment later she leaps out again, spraying Summer with a jet of seawater! And Luka, sprinting after the mischievous pokemon, realizes with a dawning mortification that she recognizes her pokemon's victim.[break][break] "M-madame Summer! S-sorry, gosh..."[break][break] Her Vaporeon trills happily and splashes back into the water, showering the girls with another bout of ocean spray. Luka pushes damp bangs out of her face and turns back to Summer, flustered but giggling all the same.[break][break] "Sorry, um...do you remember me? We met at, um...a party, I think! It was a while ago though..."
