The Larvesta looked on in slight irritation at the Growlithe's reaction to the little mishap. <"Eh, whatever.">, the Larvesta responded to the Growlithe, still rather groggy. He then took notice to the fact that the fire pup seemed to be running in place. Given his energetic demeanor, the Larvesta was reminded of another one of his comrades. Rufus the Arcanine, who despite being one of the older Pokemon among Thomas' lineup, seemed to act like a pup.

<"Solaire. Something about the owners wanting to watch me. And he's a real hard man, but a good man. Takes good care of us, and makes sure most of us are well trained.">, the Larvesta answered the Growlithe. Of course, when he said 'most', he rolled his eyes, thinking about those that Thomas kept as pets, rather than to be trained as battlers. But at least Thomas respected him enough to put him on a proper training regimen, one that seemed to be working wonders up to this point.

<"So what about you? What's your story?">, the Larvesta asked. Solaire would quickly come to regret his inquiry, as the Growlithe went off into a storm of rambling. The Larvesta seemed to be waiting for the overly energetic pup to stop. As time went on, he was sorely tempted to shut the pup's maw with some String Shot. But even he knew better than to do that, lest he get on Thomas' bad side.

Just then, the Larvesta would hear something crashing down not too far from where they were, followed by the sounds of pained crying. <"The hell was that!?">, the Larvesta called out, before firing a String Shot at a tree branch that was in the direction that the sound came from. Whether the Growlithe was coming or not, he would swing over to the scene to investigate.
