Martín del Mar has been to many regions of this world, he has travelled and explored, and has even ventured into a handful of different dimensions. However, as Shalin Nariya reminds him when speaking of her adventures, Hoenn itself has a multitude of wonders, many which have been forgotten and are yet to be rediscovered.

"That looks and sounds like quite the adventure." He tells her just as the Persian's attention is stolen away by an Unfezant that perches itself on a nearby tree. The feline's crimson eyes widen and it readies to pounce as if this were a game. Mars notices, but he does not stop him.

"I don't think most of my travels into Shoal Cave have been all that remarkable. Oh, I did find one of my mega stones there, though." He comments in passing, clicking his tongue once and watching Dollar jump high to reach the avian pokémon. The Unfezant gets spooked, attempting to fly away, but HYPNOSIS easily puts an end to its attempt.

"It was," Shalin nodded in confirmation. "And that's what Nariya Expeditions is all about. It's a... what's the phrase for it..." Sole proprietorship was the phrase she was looking for, and one that may have came to mind for Mars with all the business experience he had. "Whatever it is, that's what I do. It's not a lot of business, and I have to do odd jobs to supplement it, but rich folk with a knack for adventure and who, like me, don't get why the Rangers try to keep people out of places like that, are my main clients." She smiled. "If you're one of those people, maybe we could take a vacation together and explore the corners of Hoenn!" At the very least, she did have a business card to hand him if asked.

"That's fascinating!" Shalin's smile grew. It seemed that Mars indeed had a drive for adventure. "I also found my Beedrill's Mega Stone on an expedition, this one to the Epoch Ruins. It's in the Great Desert. Makes me wonder if that place was a forest in prehistoric times, as you wouldn't find Beedrill there now."

A chittering Raticate of eye-opening size for its species fled the battle between Dollar and the wild Unfezant. "Whoa!" Shalin exclaimed, waking Kiara from a lull. "I've never seen a Raticate that big before! After it!" Despite its enormous size, the tan rat was as nimble as smaller-sized ones. The wild's agility wasn't going to save it, though. Kiara was slower than most Pyroar, but her sharp claws let her chase the normal-type down with almost as much agility. Shalin let out a loud whoop as the peak inertia of a particularly harsh swerve threatened to fling her from the saddle. With the wild unable to match the lioness' superior speed, the Pyroar lowered her head and put on the afterburners, ramming it from behind with a HEADBUTT. Unable to right itself easily with its stubby legs, Shalin dropped an empty Poké Ball into the Raticate as her feline ride whizzed past.
