"M-hmm." A nod, sweet, but Chu-e narrowed his eyes. "He was trying to kidnap my daughter and lock her in his basement. Again." The 'again' is said sharply, with heat, the first real anger or sigh of anything other than placid apathy the time he's been locked up. His teeth click tight as he says it, leaning in like he might bite the other. Like he blames her.
Maybe he did. She was one of the League who kept the prick propped up on a pedestal.
A deep breath. In the mouth, then slow out the nose. Leaning back, Chu-e lifted his hands to massage his temples. This was too much effort.
"I can't control it. I've seen what Avatars should be. The bond that Lugia has with Cillian Quinn is beautiful in it's own way. Almost every Avatar I've seen has a loyal confidant, as if the Legend and Avatar share their very spirit."
Chu-e snarls, but it's not at Elinor Anderson this time.
"I'm a puppet now, Miss Anderson. It can use me like a cute like marionette and I can't do anything to stop it. It isn't my friend, it isn't my pet, this wasn't my choice. It is a parasite who used me as a fucked up cocoon until I could birth it back into the world like I'm the fucking Virgin Mary over here. The only thing I want from that vile excuse of a creature is to be free of it."
He shakes his head, not answering any more on the question. Elinor knew what it could do. She had seen it with her own eyes.
