Fenrir just so happened to come by the garden that day. He didn’t know why, but he had insisted on flying ahead to the idyllic place, wanting to catch some fresh air.[break][break]

And then everything had to be ruined because of a—wait a second, was that a Hawlucha?![break][break]

Seeing the aggressive dual-type throwing itself at the plants in frustration, the Noivern let out a sharp cry before sweeping in with a Dragon Pulse attack. While it was in the middle of trying to Karate Chop one of the plants down, the Noivern knew he had to lure the other away—one flashy show of Agility later, and the Hawlucha now had a target.[break][break]

Luring the Hawlucha away was priority. Just as it took an attempt to attack the Noivern with a Flying Press attack, the half-draconid quickly blasted it with an Air Slash, followed up by a Boomburst that sent it hurtling towards Alexei’s feet as he finally caught up to the Noivern.[break][break]

“Wait a second…” he mumbled, before quickly fishing out a Pokéball and dropping it atop the Hawlucha’s head before it decided to make a break for it!

This time, Alexei was right at the garden helping his Sunflora tend to the trees that were almost ready to be harvested when the Grass-type caught sight of something buzzing through the air.[break][break]

Crying out, the pale-haired man turned around in time to see... something from his home region. And it was something he recognized![break][break]

Oh, Arceus! What an adorable Emolga! he thought as he calmed the Sunflora down, an attempt to keep her calm. Turning to face the flying elesquirrel, he tsked at it.[break][break]

“Really? Without even asking if you can?” He began, a hand on his hip. His other hand held a trowel loaded with dirt that he was helping pat down. The Emolga caught sight of him, surprised that there was a human in the garden. It looked undisturbed.[break][break]

“Look. You got lucky that Fenrir wasn't here. Otherwise he's have shooed you away. Would you like a Berry or two?” He offered, surprising the wild Pokémon as he dug around in his pockets and pulled out a few Oran Berries, offering them to the Emolga. Waiting, he held his hand out.[break][break]

“There's more where that came from,” he added. He knew... he just knew he had to get this one. Even if she was going to wreck the garden (from the looks of things) he was able to prevent such a disaster. “Take it. I promise, there's more where those Oran Berries came from.”[break][break]

Slowly, hesitatingly, the Emolga flew closer. Finally alighting on his hand, he watched as the flying squirrel devoured the Oran Berries in a few moments. Refilling his hand with more, he watched as the Emolga outright stared at the addition of more food.[break][break]

The dual-type then continued to chow down on the Berries, filling herself up. Eventually, the sky squirrel let out a belching noise before curling up in his hand and falling asleep.[break][break]

“Well that was uneventful,” he said in the Sunflora's direction with a grin, tapping an empty Pokéball atop the sleeping Emolga.

There was a Swampert lounging about in the garden’s little pool when he heard the Sunflora cry out of shock and dismay—there was another threat around the area! Hoping that his human companion could hear the shrieking cries of the Sunflora, he then climbed out of the water and shook himself off, before following the Sunflora’s trembling leaf-limbs.[break][break]

A weird-looking Pokémon hovered nearby, although it looked like it was… glowing? Glowing?[break][break]

Wait, there was something wrong with it! The scent of something similar to gunpowder set the Swampert off, before a vortex of water shot forward.[break][break]

Alexei looked up in time to see the scuffle going down, wondering why there was a cascade of water swirling around so dangerously close to the Berry Trees—and then he realized why his Sunflora was making distressed noises.[break][break]

There was an invader![break][break]

“Hose it down!” he called out to the Swampert, before a second Whirlpool surrounded the first. Still not enough the dual-type fired off a blast of high-force water into the vortex—a Hydro Pump![break][break]

“What the hell’s in there?” he asked, rummaging through his pocket and getting a Pokéball ready just in case. The Swampert continued to drench the nearby surroundings, before a thudding noise announced the Lunatone’s defeat, still smoldering from what was supposed to be a huge-ass Explosion—luckily prevented.[break][break]

“Whew. Thanks,” he remarked, chucking the Pokéball at the Lunatone.[break][break]

“What? You never know when it might come in handy,” he added a few moments as the Swampert gave him an exasperated look before diving back into the pond.[break][break]

He was here, a few hours before dawn broke—as he didn’t want to disturb the other people who were coming by the garden. He’d almost had a freak-out when he recognized not one, but both of the other males who came by the little garden he was helping maintain during the dead of night.

Just as he was about to reach for the watering can and water the sunflowers, the horrific stench caught his attention. Backing away, he almost dropped said watering can on his left foot (thankfully the prosthetic and not his real foot) when he caught sight of the Muk drooling at what he presumed were the Custap Berry trees.

“Hey, you, shoo,” he admonished, waving the watering can in the wild Pokémon’s direction. It didn’t look like it was going to attack, though, and that left him puzzled.

“What, you’re not going to do anything?” he asked, setting the watering can down by his feet and looking in his pockets. Searching them turned up a squished candy bar—and while normally he’d hang onto food, he realized that the Muk was… drooling?

“What the hell,” he said as he threw the candy bar, still wrapped, at the Muk. Since it appeared to be made of sludge, he was sure whatever the Pokémon was made of would melt the wrapper off and… consume it, right? Keeping his eye on the Pokémon, he then shrugged, before watching the Muk approach him.

“Hey, what, that’s the only one I have left,” he remarked, shaking out his pockets. Little did he realize that a blank Pokéball had fallen out of his other pocket. And in some hilarious twist of irony, the white button nudged the Muk…

…it took him a few moments to realize what had happened as he saw the red beam of light shoot out and catch the Muk.

“Ah, shit!”

So apparently she'd stumbled across a garden that was... looking a little toasty. There was a Fire-type Pokémon in the area and it was hovering a little too close for comfort towards what she recognized to be Berry Trees growing!

"Hey! Leave those alone!" she called at the weird Pokémon, quickly sending out her Primarina to handle the mess in case it set the entire place on fire. "Quick, use Sing and try to lull it to sleep!" she added a few moments later, momentarily forgetting that the freaking Lampent-line was partially a Ghost-type.

It did nothing at all, so before the dual-type could attack with a Fire Spin attack, the Primarina retaliated with a powerful Moonblast instead, catching the thing off-guard.

Another Moonblast attempt landed a pained squeal from the Lampent, who floated lower and closer to the ground afterward. A blank Pokéball was then thrown at the Lampent, an attempt to catch it before it set the entire place aflame.

She wasn't going to let that happen, no way.
