For someone who considered themselves Pokémon connoisseur, Elinor had not visited the Safari Zone as much as she ought to.

But this was about to change. With a Warden’s Ticket in hand did she waltz into the place and demanded to be given the finest of Safari Balls.

Before promptly being handed the same set as everyone and thrown into the wilds.

Oh boy howdy! Was she excited either way!

And so she found herself walking through the lush natural environment, waiting for any ol’ random Pokémon to jump her.

First to step onto her path was a Milcery in an odd coloration.

Elinor took a moment to consider whether she wanted it or not.

But alas it seemed she wouldn’t get to decide as the Milcery waddled over to her. Pointed at her and then itself.

A quizzical look appeared on her pondering what it could possibly mean.

With mild frustration in its body language, the Milcery pointed again, this time at one of the four Safari balls and then back at itself.

I guess it knows why I am here?

While it wouldn’t be the first time a Pokémon joined her of its own accord, it never did feel right. As if she was cheated of an opportunity for battle.

The Desert was caught and she placed it securely in her trainer belt and moved on.

Elinor continued further into the Safari Zone. On her way she noticed Flabebe floating around on their flowers. But they held no interest for her. And so she moved on, hoping for something a bit more exciting.

The Flabebe was left to its own devices as Elinor continued on.

It didn’t take her long before she stumbled upon yet another Pokemon that held no interest to her, even though it looked to have a fancy coloration, it was still only a Karrablast.

She was certain there were better options out there, and so left it be.

With the Karrablast out of sight Elinor could continue on her way. But the way she picked meant that it didn’t take long before she stumbled upon another Pokémon.

This time it was a Roselia with an odd coloration. And it seemed eager to fight.

Luckily she had brought just the right one. She summoned her Scizor quickly and the battle began.

Petal dances VS X-Scissors, however, left much to be desired.

The battle was over almost before it had begun. Roselia was defeated.

Elinor threw one of the Safari balls at it. Hoping to catch it without further ado.

Scizor was retrieved once the battle was finished.

With Roselia captured she was now left with two Safari Balls to use.

As if on cue another Pokémon stumbled into her view. A furry little creature cutely jumped towards her. It gently grabbed a hold of her pants leg and tucked at it excitedly as it asked to be lifted.

Elinor bent down and gave it some gentle headpats, and instead of lifting the Minccino she offered it a Safari Ball.

It seemingly accepted the offer?

The next cute critter that Elinor would stumble upon was a bit of a rarity that she hadn't’ expected to see.

A Paldean Pokémon. She couldn’t quite remember the name, but she was going to catch it either way.

But with a feisty glare in its eyes, the Sprigatito made it clear it wasn’t about to be caught without a battle.

Scizor was summoned once again. And the same scene as before unfolded. X-scissors made quick work of the untrained Pokémon, even if its ability proved to give it quite a bit more battle than it ought.

With the grass-cat defeated, Elinor would throw a Safari Ball at it.

Her last one.
