It had been a long time since Shalin had truly let Kiku, her Skuntank, let loose in Hoenn's wilderness. She had one hand on the poison-type's reins and another wrapped around his bushy tail to help him aim at wild Pokémon while on the run. Just as he was taking aim at a Staravia patrolling the clifftop, a young lady not too much older than she was greeted her.

"Yep!" Shalin chirped as she let the purple quadruped's tail fall, waving with her off hand and using her main hand to rein the Skuntank to a stop. "It's been a while since we've had one of these. A bit breezy, but it's perfect otherwise!" While Kiku did not smell of musk, his sniffing in Giada's general direction may have caught her attention. The presence of riding gear on the Pokémon was likely a good indicator of how well-behaved he was.

Aww, the two Skitty were adorable! They were surprisingly tough Pokémon to remain around the Skuntank. Kiku would give them a short tickle with his tail if they allowed it. There was just something unforgettable about them. Perhaps it was as unforgettable as seeing a young, attractive girl atop such an unusual mount.

"Great to meet you, Giada!" Shalin answered with a smile of her own. "Shalin, wildest Pokémon rider this side of Hoenn!" she introduced herself with her tacky title. "Kiku is this Skuntank's name. I've known him for a while. If I may ask, what brings you out here?"
