Quinn was not brought up in a wealthy home, but her parents tried at least. They provided food, shelter, and sent her to school, though their neighborhood was in the less desirable area of the city, and crime was everywhere. Her parents were avid fossil collectors when they were young, and had a small collection that they prized. [break][break]
However, most of this collection would end up in the hands of petty thieves, and with them, the life of Quinn's father. They only had two fossils left, a root fossil, and a large hunk of amber. Though her mother grieved, she remained strong, and did everything she could to raise Quinn the best she could, though it became exceedingly difficult with only her working, and Quinn still growing up. Eventually, Quinn's mother grew very ill from over working, two jobs and raising a teenager, it proved too much for her, and with little money as they had, they couldn't afford medicine for her. It was not a quick death, and it did not help Quinn to sit there and watch her mother die. She spent much of this time out trying to steal money and expensive things to sell for money to get the medicine she needed, but she never got close, and her mother passed away while she was out.[break][break]
With nothing left, her home was taken by the bank, her parents and her things sold to pay what debt they had, though she kept the fossil and amber. She was to be sent to an orphanage, but she ran, and didn't stop. Several weeks later, she was lost in the woods of Hoenn, starving, but at least she had a nearby river for water, when she was confronted by a few people in black. They first sought to rob her, but she recognized them as the criminal organization Team Rocket. She proceeded to beg them to let her join them. She wanted to belong somewhere, and to get revenge on those who made life hard for her and her parents, and she felt that Team Rocket would be able to help her.[break][break]
The Rockets were surprised, and decided to take her hostage, taking her fossils for the meantime. She was blindfolded and tied up, just in case, and brought before their direct commander. After a lengthy interrogation, she was given the option of leaving alive without her fossils, or joining them and they would revive the pokemon inside them for her to use where they would direct her. She obliged without hesitation. [break][break]
It was after this that she quickly began her training, and after completion of training, she was presented with two pokemon, made from the fossils her parents loved so much. It was after her first few missions out in the field that she found and captured two aditional pokemon, and made them part of her team. This was approved by those above her, after a week of deliberation. It was decided at the same time that she would focus her work on smuggling and procuring fossils and rare objects hidden in the wilderness of the region, as some of it may be valuable, or useful in conquering their enemies, and Quinn has no qualms with this, hoping to prove herself to her superiors, and finally exact her revenge.
