Amor listened thoughtfully to Temp's explanation of why people kept appearing in this region that seemed to doomed more than one day a week. Carefully he took in those words, and he nodded a bit. Power always drew people to particular places, the chance of being a Demigod was tantalizing to most of the populace, and he couldn't fault them for that. Feeling weak, hopeless, defenseless, these were all things that no human wanted to be. So when you could have an ability that put you heads, and shoulders above everyone else, why not? Though he had seen how such power could corrupt others, how it could warp their views....Humans at the end were just as animalistic as the Pokemon they tamed, and they would flock for strength, and how others would flock to them for said strength.
"It often feels likes....People care more about that power than they do the safety, and well-being of those around them...." Amor only had one instance where that wasn't true, but that man wasn't here any longer. His departure was a tragedy for the region as a whole, and the League was lesser without him there. "It's a shame that the adage of 'absolute power, corrupts absolutely' is true." He lamented a bit, but no one thought that at first, everyone thought they could handle it, that they would be different from those that came before them.
Then there was a brief silence before Temp answered his question, the same question that he had posed to many others. Listening he felt he got a bit of a better understanding of the man before him. It was an admirable cause to want to protect those that you loved, to want others to feel safe, and secure enough to ask you for help. The more Amor learned about Rocket's members, the more he wondered if they were really the bad guys?
Terrorism aside, one could argue that Rocket was merely a symptom of the Leagues constant negligence of the civilians, and those that were among their ranks. Not properly treating the causes, and just blaming the effect....Sure there were people in Rocket that were here for just murder, and mayhem, but Amor must have gotten incredibly lucky to not have met those deranged individuals yet.
"Well I'm glad to hear that, because I'm pretty helpless at a lot of stuff....The downside of having others always doing stuff for you, so I hope you don't mind me relying on you sometimes." He flashed a charming smile at the man.
