It’s barely a fight. They’re outnumbered and, despite Ferrum being an agile and well-practiced combat partner, the hidden power knocks them into a different location.

They’re in what Onyx assumes to be a tomb-- it’s dark, and cold in the way that basements are, stone surrounded by earth. He looks up into the beam of moonlight that streams across his face, squinting, then follows the line of the moonbeam down to the creature it is illuminating.

All at once the air around them is whipped up into a maelstrom. Agonized screaming and wicked cackling echo loud enough for Onyx to want to cover his ears.
