It was hot as balls out here and Victoria was still dedicated to her wardrobe of black on black ensembles. She always would be, fashion over function after all. But it was really hot, so she walked around the carnival with one of their little spray-bottles-with-a-fan-attached contraptions. [break][break]

Rocket had been suggesting these 'team bonding' exercises recently. She was usually partnered up with @henri much to her own dismay. She didn't understand, was it because they both had the same profession? Or perhaps their work ethic? She wasn't sure what their reasoning was but she knew she was growing tired of it. [break][break]

There was just something about him that made her feel some type of way....[break][break]

Anyway, today she was spared and she had been partnered with Camellia. They had met prior due to a mission but at least Tori didn't feel like jumping off a bridge in her presence. Meanwhile they stood in line for the drop tower attraction at the carnival. Tori couldn't really say if she was a fan of this sort of thing or not. She didn't exactly get the chance to go do these sort of things when she was a kid. She was a little busy. [break][break]

Still, hearing the screams as other's endured the ride piqued her curiosity. Surprisingly the line moved fairly quickly and before she knew it, it was her their turn to get strapped in. "Ever done one of these before?" Tori asked her partner for the evening as she secured herself in the harness. [break][break]

"I'm not expecting much."

Camellia had only attended the carnival one time before, with @topher. Before, they were still exploring their feelings and the fun in the "friends with benefits" situation they decided to begin. However... things had changed drastically in a matter of a couple of weeks.[break][break]

The carnival reminded her of the first confession he made to her. "I think I love you." And now, they were an established couple. How gross.[break][break]

The thought could make her cringe if she didn't care enough. But she did. Looking over to Victoria Beckett, she shook her head.[break][break]

"The last carnival I went to, we just rode the Ferris wheel and a few roller coasters. Nothing like this," Camellia said, looking at the people dropping from the height above.[break][break]

It was their turn, and she sat next to her, strapping in. "Really? Don't throw up on me, then." There was a wry smirk on her lips as she regarded her before the ride started.

"Really? Don't throw up on me, then." Camellia replied with a smirk on her lips. Tori laughed, a genuine one, as she shook her head. "You won't have to worry about that." she flashed her a wink as the ride operator made their rounds to secure the bar onto the passengers before starting the ride. "If you get scared you can squeeze my hand if you want." Tori said with a wry smirk of her own. [break][break]

Moments later the ride jerked and shook before it whirred to life. They began to slowly climb to the top and Tori watched with eyes full of amazement as all the people below them began to look like ants. She even grinned while looking at their feet dangling off the edge of their chairs. [break][break]

Tori was an adrenaline junkie at heart. So this sort of thing was perfect for her. The way excitement and anticipation pumped through her veins, the giddy thumping of her heart, and the sweet ecstasy of release once it as wall said and done, were all part of the process that left her hungry for more. One they were at the apex of the ride they all sat there for a moment. [break][break]

They had no idea when the ride would drop them, which served to be anxiety educing for some around her. She could hear the whimpers around her which only cause her to snicker to herself. Before she knew it the drop happened. Screams filled the air around her but Tori only laughed as she threw her hands into the air. Her hair whipped around her face but the feeling of her stomach dropping to her feet was so thrilling.[break][break]

The ride was over just as soon as it had begun but Tori felt more energized after it. "So? How was it?" Tori practically bounced next to Camellia. The pair made their way towards one of the food stands and Tori bought them both a corndog before extending it to her partner. "It wasn't so bad right?"

An outburst of laughter released from her lips. "You wish."[break][break]

Camellia did not hold Victoria Beckett's hand. It took more than dropping from up high to make her shake in her boots. Though, it seemed the poor souls who thought that the ride would be a great idea found out that this was not the ride for them.[break][break]

She caught a glance of Tori raising her hands up, and she did the same as the ride dropped a few more times.[break][break]

The ground felt a bit foreign when her shoes hit the metal platform, taking a second for the blood to rush back to the right places, before she followed her company off the ride. The corndog offered was taken with a small nod.[break][break]

"It was fun. The festivals in Kalos didn't have anything like this there. Maybe they should." Camellia dressed her snack with one of the condiments nearby, taking a bite.[break][break]

Just like Cam did, Tori quickly drizzled some condiments on her corndog before blowing on it and taking a bite out of the steaming treat. "Mmm," Tori hummed happily. "Nah," she started as she covered her mouth with her hand while she chewed. "We uh, didn't exactly have enough money...or time really to do that sort of thing."[break][break]

Tori's expression clouded for a moment before took another bite out of her corndog. "Kanto back then wasn't exactly a good place to enjoy leisurely activities." she said with a chuckle. But even though it was rough back then, there were still plenty of moments she enjoyed back then too. [break][break]

"Wanna try the merry-go-round while we eat and chat?" she said already making her way towards the attraction before she even really got an answer.

Camellia wasn't trying to bring up old wounds of old years past. However, a part of her was also curious about what it was like. Kanto. She'd heard of it many times before, often in passing when she was still with MOULIN SANG.[break][break]

It truly was no bother to Tori. Kanto represented hardship for sure but for all it's lows Kanto was home. While other's might have viewed Kanto as hell back then Tori thrived in the environment. It was all she knew. The chaos of it all was what was 'normal' for her. It could probably explain why she felt so at home in Hoenn. [break][break]

"Sure. Do you have a Pokémon you want to pick?" Camellia responded with a chuckle. Tori grinned as she quickly eyed her options. "Hmm, I'm a simple girl so..." She said as she stepped on the platform once all the other's began to board the ride. "I think I'll go with my edgy little Noivern."[break][break]

Once Tori was seated, Zero, her hisuian zorua hopped up in her lap. Victoria glanced back towards Cam and tilted her head slightly. "What about you? What pokémon is catching your eye right now?" Zero sniffed at her hand that held her corndog but Tori only pushed his face gently away from her hand.

Camellia watched Tori climb onto the NOIVERN, sleek and shiny as a merry-go-round seat. She looked around, trying to decide what she'd might pick.[break][break]
Though one in particular caught her eye. Perhaps it was not a popular pick, but she liked it.[break][break]
