it makes her feel small, weak, feeble.

she wants to scream. she wants to rip out his throat.

and the phone is offered, taken, and heavy like a stone in her hand. she wonders if it'll drag her down to hell. maybe she'd let it for maybe that's where she belongs.

she won't. she promises she won't...

but it sounds more like she's convincing herself instead of denying him. damning, in ways she doesn't understand, is such a concept.
