The man next to him, Bryan. It was another supply mission, but the cargo was bigger than usual, it was tougher to deal with, tougher to protect. Most likely medical supplies, if not weapons.

It was strange to work alongside him, Bryan that is, it had been a while, especially with everything that happened in Galar. ”Delarosa, had any run-ins with the monsters on the other side yet?”

But he did technically work for the man, so there were things to do. Duraludon, the bridge-shaped pokemon dragged it along. It was a strong pokemon, but the battles would come to them eventually.

Xerneas appears and uses PSYCHIC to assist with lifting some of the supplies, acknowledging Kouji with a nod. Bryan acknowledge the deity with his own respectful nod. "One has found no humans in the vicinity." [break][break]

Bryan nods his head "Good, although I doubt it's going to stay that way for very long." he warns.

Working with Bryan was comfortable, Kouji had to admit that much; he was one of his superiors that was easy to get along with.

He saw that there was some time to kill while they started to move shit around, and given he agreed that he needed to save his energy. He popped a squat on the floor and crossed his legs "So tell me something Kouji, why did you join Rocket?"

"Is that so?" he asks. "Survival, me and my sister." he said as he had begun to get comfortable with Kouji. Xerneas's gaze moves over to Bryan, surprised that Bryan would share information on her so freely. [break][break]

"My family didn't understand me, so I looked for people who did. jayden cross picked me up off the streets." as he rolls his neck and leans back into the box he had just carried. "My sister eventually got sick with a really lethal disease that doctors had no idea how to cure. So, I started to look for Xerneas and rocket was there to help." [break][break]

"During all of that I fought with my dirt bag of a family for custody of her since they were both abusive. I had to take over the payments for her experimental treatments and well...I couldn't exactly get insurance with rocket. Became broke as a joke, homeless, I had to move up in rocket." [break][break]

He says as Xerneas closed his eyes and looked away, moving back to moving the crates again. "Eventually, I found Xerneas and saved it from a seviper who was continually feeding on him. He granted me his blessing and I had rushed immediately over to save soleil, only to find out, she died that same night."[break][break]

"So now the only world I want to build is one where the league is wiped from the face of this world, they stopped me and created a million roadblocks for me, I could have saved her sooner if not for them."

There were a lot of things that Kouji could’ve said in that moment, that she was too weak to live perhaps, or that the man across from him was tangled in with Rocket, little true choice in his hands. But he opted for none of them, it didn’t make sense, and perhaps they were things Bryan already understood.

”Sounds terrible, so you lost your sister, and now want to make the League pay for it huh?” Kouji didn’t dislike that as a reason, but then again, he didn’t have enough of a leg to stand on when it came to disliking the motivations of others. ”Ain’t easy, I’ll say that.”

There really was no beating around the bush when it came to Bryan, nor did he really want to. ”We both know it ain’t gonna be a better world with Rocket, you fine with others suffering even worse fates than you or your sister? I don’t mind, this kinda region wasn’t build for people like me, so I’m happy to screw everyone else over. Ain’t sure if you’re the same kinda guy.”

Bryan grins, finally some action was coming to him. [break][break]

He drops the box he had been carrying and lets it slam onto the floor as they move forward. "Flame thrower." he orders as the Audino claps it's hands together and create a stream of fire onto the league participants. [break][break]

Audino leaps back towards his side as he picks up one of the cargo crates filled with the heaviest of supplies and throws it into one of the people, crushing them underneath it's weight.

Wait wait wait…

”Those are our precious supplies, dunker head.” Kouji said as the box went flying, crushing a group of guys before he sighed. ”Mah, I like the brute force approach just as much as any guy, but I sure do like not…STARVING.” He said as he patted Duraludon on the back before the dragon roared.

Thunderbolt was the move it responded with, heavy as it was, and carrying supplies as it were, the dragon struck with a move it could use from any old range. Striking at the league group, a set of trainers who were a bit too slow to draw for their pokemon.

Still, those pokeball dropped, and a number of pokemon appeared.

His Audino lends it's support to the duraldon, using a thunder bolt of it's own to add insult to injury. "It was only potions anyways." he corrects him "Not even I would waste food, you know what it is to starve but never die? I tried it out for shits n giggles, it's terrible." he says as there was a hunger that drove him crazy at one point with his experiment. [break][break]

He was driving himself mad.
