After jumping through hoops in order to find aaron faust's address, finally he had arrived. Standing outside his door, he was dressed in his usual attire but with a present all wrapped up nicely for his friend. He was saddened to hear that he had never received it, and now would make sure it got into the right hands. Showing up suddenly would be a surprise, whether a good one or not was up to Aaron to decide. [break][break]

Noel knocks on the door in a rhythmic beat, eagerly awaiting to see just what kind of place he lived in. Never before had he entered into someone's home before and since he was always on the move, he didn't have one to call his own. Well, except for the shoddy building he had in Dewford at first, but he didn't really count it.[break][break]

After a few seconds with no response, he beats on the door once more albeit slightly louder than before.[break][break]

"Hello? Aaron are you there?"[break][break]

He shouts out. Hopefully he came at a good time or else he would be standing here for nothing and have to try again later.

aaron ignores the first set of knocks. [break][break]he didn't order anything and he's not the doorman for Greyson Connors 's friends, so he stays glued to the couch. slouched against the leather with his feet up on the coffee table, he engrosses himself in his game for those few seconds of reprieve.[break][break]the knocking starts again, louder this time. is that SWAT beating down his door? or Greyson Connors without his housekeys? he pauses his game, listening to the muffled voice in the hallway of their apartment building. he squints as though it will make him hear better, trying to put the familiar, grating voice to a name. [break][break]he tosses the controller onto the couch cushion beside him and begrudgingly gets up. he crosses the room, opens the door, and sees Noel Parker standing on his doorstep like a stray, a giftbox in hand. [break][break]aaron looks him up and down, sighs with an exasperation beyond his years, and rolls his eyes as he closes the door in the other trainer's face.

Huh... How weird... Aaron didn't even say a word to him and immediately shut the door on him. Maybe he was just too embarrassed from the sudden visit.[break][break]

He waits a few minutes outside the door in case Aaron needed more time to prepare for his guest. Yet when it remained silent, Noel begins knocking on the door once more. Perhaps Aaron had bad memory and he forgot that he was standing outside here in the cold. He wasn't exactly dressed for the weather as he thought he'd be inside by now.[break][break]

"Hey Aaron it's me! I came by to give you something. Don't be shy!"[break][break]

He shouts out to no one. Soon Aaron's neighbors peek from their windows as to what the ruckus is but Noel doesn't take notice of them. If this continued on any longer Aaron would surely receive a noise complaint from the other tenants. Their scowling faces made it quite clear that this was not a uncommon occurrence. Who knows just how many complaints the man had.

Suddenly he's grabbed from the outside and pulled in roughly, his body tumbling down from the force, causing him to land on his behind along with a groan. Luckily for him the present was clutched within his hands and no damage looked to be put upon it. He slowly rises up to his feet and is assailed by Aaron's flurry of questions. Once Noel gets his bearings down, he dusts off his pants and answers back.[break][break]

"Ouch... Oh this? Its for you! I had to make sure it got into your hands this time so I tracked you down. You were really hard to find you know. Had to get your address from Navy."[break][break]

He holds the neatly wrapped gift out in front of him, hoping that Aaron will accept it. However something else catches his eye. The apartment that he was pulled into. He didn't know quite what to expect, but it wasn't this. He was left in wonder over the state that his friend had his living space in.[break][break]

"So this is where you live... I'll be honest... Its not what I thought it would be."

Noel Parker trips like a brawl character — seemingly and day-ruiningly over nothing as aaron pulls him over the threshold. aaron watches him fall, nearby shelves rattling from the impact. it takes a herculean effort to hold in the exasperated sigh building in his chest as the man struggles back to his feet. [break][break]his hand flashes through his hair instead, giving him something idle to do with his fingers that doesn't involve choking this kid out. [break][break]"what the?" [break][break]he stops at the mention of Navy , suddenly reminded of mint frost and the stalking incident™ and his fugly backpack. [break][break]"you asked him for my address? y'know what, never mind — "[break][break]he shakes his head and snatches the gift box out of noel's hands. he shakes it around, assessing the item inside and trying to hear if its still in one piece. [break][break]"yeah, i live with an elite four guy. he's loaded." aaron is too, but he seldom acknowledges it. "what's in this? it better not be a box of rillaboom shit."

He carefully removes the ribbon that was holding the entire box together, when it unravels, so too does the package. Inside a bottle of alcohol with the glass colored with the pattern of a Pikachu. A yellow liquid could be seen sloshing inside. Noel didn't know what kind of drinks Aaron would like, but he figured this would match the Pikachu that he defeated back in the Vital City Tournament and decided on it.[break][break]

"What do you say to opening it up and having a drink?... Is that the gaming personal computer you were talking about earlier?"[break][break]

Picking up the controller that was previously in the gamer's hands, it was clearly connected to a console, but Noel didn't know the difference. As he lifted the device, he accidentally unpauses whatever game he was playing, causing his character to die almost immediately without any further input. A YOU DIED message is scrawled upon the screen.[break][break]

"Oops... But oh well. Come on, do you have anything to open this thing up?"

[break][break]"dude."[break][break]he snatches the controller out of noel's hands, pauses the game, and throws it back onto the couch.[break][break]"hands to yourself."[break][break]he moves to the kitchen and sets the pikachu bottle on the counter. he produces two glasses embossed with a lopunny design — courtesy of Greyson Connors — and then opens the bottle. the suspicous liquid is poured for them both, then he hands one to his guest. he squints at the liquid, then squints at him. "From what they told me its berry juice extracted from Shuckles but distilled to give it that extra kick. Come on let's give it a try."[break][break]

Truth be told, all the details he was told on purchasing this bottle flew over his head. Noel paid no attention when things like its alcohol content, acquisition, or even legality were brought up. All he wanted was a nice gift to give to his friend.[break][break]

He raises the glass to his lips, with a swig, the liquid pours down into his throat and he finishes it off with a satisfied sigh. Immediately does he pour another glass full of the brew. The second hit is just as strong as the first. Alcohol with actual good taste was something he had never experienced before.[break][break]

"Wow, this is way better than I thought it would be... What do you think of it?"[break][break]

Once more does he serve himself another glass. If he wasn't careful, he'd soon empty the bottle with none left for Aaron.

[break][break]"bro."[break][break]in a single word, he somehow summarizes all his feelings in his tone. disbelief, disgust, and confusion all dangle off that singular syllable. [break][break]"you tryin' to get fucked up or something? slow down." [break][break]he shakes his head with moral superiority, despite being fully capable of the same lack of decorum. as though to appear better than noel, he swirls the yellow liquid in his lopunny glass and then takes the measured sip of a sommelier.[break][break]"not bad," he says eventually, after some faux consideration of the taste in his mouth.

It was too late. Having no self-control at all, Noel takes sip after sip of the yellow drink. Glass after glass is downed without a second thought. He just couldn't get enough of the stuff, it was rare for him to partake in this sort of activity, and what better way than in the safety of someone else's home.[break][break]

Truth be told, he was already feeling the effects of the alcoholic content right after the second drink. His mind had become foggy, his body loosened and his eyes unfocused. Standing up from his chair, he looks to Aaron, clearly inebriated.[break][break]

"Hey now... Aren't you going to show me around? Let's take a little field trip..."[break][break]

He excuses himself from the counter, his legs swaying from left to right in no rhythmic pattern at all. His body bumps into nearby walls and furniture, thankfully nothing is knocked down. Yet.[break][break]

A door stands between him and adventure.[break][break]

"Is this your room? Mind if I... take a peek?"[break][break]

Permission was never needed in the state he was in. And even worse, it wasn't Aaron's room at all. Pushing his body through the door to open it, he stumbles inside. He lets out an audible "Whoa..." before perusing through Greyson Connors's things without a care in the world.[break][break]

Finally after snooping through, he lays in the comfort of Greyson's bed with a sigh of relief. Then a thought immediately comes to his head, something he had been meaning to ask from the very beginning.[break][break]

"Oh by the way... I kind of need a place to stay for tonight... Is it all right if I sleep in your bed tonight?"[break][break]

A yawn escapes his mouth as he tries to cover it up with a hand, already he was beginning to feel drowsy, more than likely due to the alcohol.
