When Sunny looks out her window, she is not expecting there to be snow. For a moment, she stares at it, walking closer and closer to the glass pane until her hands press against it and then her face. It's snowing. It's really snowing. Presented with snow, the beach suddenly seems like the silliest place to be.

Shoving on her sneakers and grabbing her pokebelt, Sunny makes a mad dash for the outside world, knocking anyone in her way aside. It's basically Christmas.

The doors swing open. Past Bronze is a whirlwind of blonde hair and a girl inadequetely dressed for the sharp drop in temperature. Her foot hits the snow, arms raising into the air. "It's snooooowing--"

Her excitement is cut short, replaced by a frantic pterodactyl-esque screech. Her foot hits the snow and the layer of fresh ice underneath and Sunny goes sliding with the momentum of a roller coaster flying off its track.

Bronze had been taking the first sip of his tea, which, according to his tastes, was close to boiling hot. The first taste of the day was always an important one, something a man could relish, savour, a part of a lifetime of comforting ritual. A tradition shattered as the unexpected screech causes him to flinch, jerking the cup enough that the liquid slops over the edge and onto his stomach, the scalding flash of pain eliciting a dark, heated curse from the man. Hissing, he set the cup down and clenched his teeth, wiping uselessly at the offending patch of dark upon his abdomen and lifting the hem of his shirt up to frown at the freshly reddened flesh. Shaking his head, the man leaned out to call to the fallen youth, "You okay, kid?"

"Oh...gross, it's cold," a whine erupted from the woman's lips as she shuddered where she stood, rubbing at her arms. While this would be a prime time to suggest cuddling with her 'fiance', she wasn't really sure where he was.

lucky for him.

And so, that left matters in her own hands to try and clear up this mess. Making note of the girl who slipped the moment she touched the seemingly 'soft' and 'harmless' snow, Noelle only cringed. See - this was why she hated snow. It got everywhere. It was cold. It hurt people. For a moment, the urge to return inside was immense. she didn't 'do' cold.

But, no, here she was. Standing on the snow-coated beach, trying not to seem like a shuddering mess. The mist that coated the shoreline was thick, making it hard to see....well, anything. "A-A-August, please, please come here!"

A flash of light, and her typhlosion stood, staring in disdain at the snowy mess around them both. Almost immediately, he reached for his pokeball, likely trying to return himself. He didn't want to deal with this.

"W-what, no-no, stop," Noelle whined, pushing his nubby hands away. "I need your help." The fire-type only groaned, rolling his eyes, but, not disagreeing.

Soon, another flash of light, and Odessa stood by her side. The dragon looked less than pleased to be in the cold. A small shudder took over her serpentine form - she looked extremely uncomfortable. "I'm sorry," Noelle abruptly apologized. She felt the dragon's disdain harder than any other, to the point where the pinkette looked visibly upset as she touched a hand to her side. "Endure it for a moment longer, if you can?" She sweetly asked, and the dragonair gave a slow nod.

"August, ignite!" The typhlosion, under the matronly dragonair's watchful stare, listened. A collar of intense flames ignited upon his neck. "Start getting rid of the snow - and Odessa, can you clear this mist?" Both pokemon obliged. An intense inferno of flames erupted from August's mouth, as he was forced to use fire hot enough to combat that intense cold. It met with the snowy ground in a grueling, slow attempt at melting it and the compact ice underneath. Meanwhile, powerful winds stirred around Odessa's tail, whipping into a tornado. The twister launched itself from her lithe body, disrupting the heavy mist that had set in. It didn't do too much, but, it was a start.

"Can I uh...get some help? Please? With Pecha berries on top?"

the mist starts to get cleared out with the twister. he could see the bright light emitted by the flames through the mist and blizzards as well. kyle would soon be vulnerable to the eyes of the people of the hyacinth huntails.

"fuck," he utters quietly.

two other additional pokemon were out, having helped the alolan ninetales set up an aurora veil on the entire perimeter of the hyacinth stronghold. with the lucario's copycat and the furfrou's mimic, the entire place has been surrounded with an invisible barrier, hidden better with the snow warning blocking the sun from tinting it.

another pokemon was sent out, this time to help with keeping the temperatures low. glaceon keeps the cold winds coming with blizzard. hail starts to fall as well. the abomasnow keeps the mist going and a downpour of snow from the avalanche coming. these two basically keeps the typhlosion and the dragonair from making too much progress on their own.

at the very least, he still remains obscured from the snow warning and the mist. of his pokemon, almost everyone seemed to blend well with the snow.

he checks his phone for the time. he should be backing off soon.

Sunny pushes herself back to her feet, teetering like she were in the midst of a balancing act. Finally, she regains her footing. She turns her head to look at Bronze and flashes a grin, waving frantically at him for a second, before she goes back to doing whatever it is she's planning to do.

The snow begins to melt and the temperature starts to warm. It's short lived as the snow intesifies and the cold weather seeps back in. "You know what? Nevermind. I hate this," she announces to the sky before turning to the pink haired woman with a nod. "I'll help!"

Maybe. Sunny is aware she has few pokemon that can do any impact on this sort of weather. There's Chonkers, but her Tepig is small and a baby. It's better than nothing. She summons him and the Tepig sits in the snow, looking as bewildered as can be.

"Flame charge! Flame charge until you die or the snow is gone! Got it?"

And off Chonkers goes, a pig on fire, charging through the snowy hell he's found himself in. The snow melts in his wake but more piles up behind. It's something.

Sunny grabs another pokeball and from it, unleashes the most dangerous beast of them all: Nemo. The gyarados grunts as the snow and hail pummel into it. He looks at Sunny and Sunny motions for him to lean down so she can climb on top. Snow melts when things are warmer than it, right? With that logic, she has a plan. A great plan. A brilliant plan.

There is literally no way this can go wrong. Off the Gyarados and its trainer go, blasting the snow with torrents of water, melting it down to nothing.

he never imagined he'd have to wake up looking for a blanket. he'd been sleeping in his underwear, and then had the sudden urge to cover himself with anything the moment he woke up. with nothing but boxers and a shirt and a cloak made out of his blanket, he ventures out of the dorms to peek through the windows.

"i-it's snowing..."

sunny clark was doing things priam can't even fathom and the Noelle Lane lady now had pokemon out also doing things. were they in a battle? priam does not spot any enemy, so he can't be sure. he does not know whether this was normal or not. the entire place was just blown up days prior too.

too tired to figure out things on his own, he goes for the next best solution instead.

"kings!" he yells from across the dorms, hoping he'd wake @kingsley up. he was like sixty years old or something. he's so old he must be full of wisdom, and priam needed wisdom now.

he came. upon seeing his frosty breath, he knew that--one day--it'd come to this. dragons were looked down upon when in the face of their adversaries: the cold ones, ice-types to be presumed. if it wasn't their own kind that they had to worry about, it was outsides. the fairies and the ice, mateo made sure to have some form of counter against his opposites. to those who didn't know him, they'd see it as a time to strike due to he and his teams weakness. but how could he call himself a member of the elite four if he allowed type advantage to stump him?

as he stood atop of the balcony FERNANDO SILPH had once resided. he'd come to place his right geta upon the railing, a loud slam clanging with the metal railing. he'd toss the ball of his altaria into the sky where, upon the battlefield, its ability CLOUD NINE would come to suppress the effects of SNOW WARNING. disassembling the frosty weather that poured white powder from above.

"if you think we're weak, then you're dead wrong..." he murmured, "if you think we're weak then you're dead wrong!" he shouted. "we're huntail and we're here to win! right men?!" suddenly a shout was heard from first level of their warfront. it was a group of non-important's waiting within the front gates to take charge, each of them with a single pokemon out. "who are we?!" he'd ask, they'd shout, "huntail!" mateo, once more, asked, "who the fuck are we?!" they'd shout, "huntail!" after their first defeat from yesterday, mateo gathered a unit to instill with confidence. to enchant them with a fiery courage for vengeance.

"and what do we do to outsiders?!" he asked, they'd respond with a shout, "fuck'em up!" mateo, shouting from above, "that's right! now fuck'em up, charge!" dragonite, standing behind him, roared to signal the unimportant to move forward. rushing in the midst of @ noelle and @ sunny's clean up, the angry mob and their single 'mons would charge after. rushing to dive on kyle lopez as mato watched from above.

"eat shit, kyle!" mateo shouted from the balcony. together he and dragonite laughed as the stampede targeted kyle. rushing out of their front toward the enemy, energetic and motivated.

the weather cleared up. it was fine. it was only there to set up the aurora veil, which did not disappear when the snowing and hailing did. the mist did not disappear either as abomasnow kept generating it despite the twister.

the entire place has already been secured with aurora veil, thrice over. the rushing pokemon would find themselves charging against an invisible wall as they tried to reach kyle.

"this is why i take safety measures, ricky." he sees such murderous intent and kyle utters a single command to match it. "sheer cold."

temperature would continue to drop to harsher values, one that is dangerous to both humans and pokemon not acclimated to it. icicles would start forming on the ground as a freezing wave would come from the trio of ninetales, furfrou and lucario that had already done their job and returned to their trainer.

everything that battled against it would be encased in a block of ice. it ravages everything in its path, covering the entire dome created from the aurora veils set up earlier with a thick layer of ice without fail.

"now, go on. shoo. go protect them," he tells mateo martinez who kept by himself on the sky, matching it with a motioning of his hands.

if anything he wondered how kyle, being so close to their recklessness, wasn't freezing to death from this temperature. he was literally trying to murder them, "safety measures?! you're trying to commit murder-suicide, cut it out! sceptile, altaria, follow up and stop that from growing anymore!" sceptile and altaria, too, would utilize MIMIC: DISABLE to halt the two-thirds of sheer cold's growth.

Kingsley is awake; he has been awake for a while, in truth. His standard routine is an hour run in the morning, a shower, then coffee and breakfast, and being on the beach doesn't change that. He's at his window, leaning out so he can smoke, when the beach begins to disappear in a layer of fog. From within it, the first snowflakes fall.

Nothing was worse than the cold and waking up cold. After hearing the events of the previous day and how easily the compound was destroyed thanks to one individuals antics it was kinda disappointing that team that prided itself through its strength was taken out so easily.

Looking out from where he was positioned, Morgan could see the snow melting thanks to the efforts of some. But kyle lopez causing more mayhem by trying to freeze that remainder of the place with his ice type pokemon. But for some reason it was thwarted and stopped in its tracks before everything would feel the horrendous temperatures of the sheer cold. Morgan was not dressed for cold weather especially since it was still summer.

tdlr: Morgan currently watching from inside the tower. Too cold for him to go out. Doesnt see mateo martinez yet, but notices the oncoming sheercold/blizzard stop in its tracks

Eyes fluttering, Bronze rolled his eyes, disdain writ plain upon his features as Mateo began shouting at the faceless mob of unremarkable Huntail members. it was cold, and it got colder. even with the help of sunny clark - who she gave a frantic and happy wave to btw - it seemed...pointless. and colder. and she didn't do the cold.

returning her dragonair and huddling close to august, much to his dismay, the shouting by her 'one and only' had her all ears. it was really was believable that he could be the head of their 'hundred devouring family' one day. "you got this, babe!" she, somewhat playfully, shouted out to mateo martinez as he drew closer. as for her? as much as she would've loved to fight by his side, it was cold.

she didn't do the cold.

and so, she took herself right back on into the base, flanked by her typhlosion who she refused to return to his pokeball despite his pleas. after she warmed up a bit and let odessa 'recharge', she might go back out to lend her future husband a help. maybe.

back inside the far warmer base with slightly chattering teeth, she waved to Morgan Drake , about to approach him until she heard the distant rumble of...someone? she didn't know who he was, but, the moment she realized he was speaking about mateo, she felt a bit ah...angry? could she get angry? was anger a thing she had? her typhlosion peered curiously up at her, trotting by her heels as she took a few steps closer to the darker haired man.

"hey!" she huffed sharply over at @bronze with a frown, "at least he's doing something. are you doing something? anything? aside from drinking...whatever that is?" she fired back. it wasn't the 'meanest', but, she sounded pretty...stern. if not a bit critical. "we're not just here to twiddle our thumbs and drink...whatever that is!"

technically, he's building something and not destroying.

this was just a war of attrition. kyle rarely gets into something, but when he does, he puts his everything on it, this game included. he blames mateo martinez for keeping the war going, especially with his excessive display the day prior.

he recalls all of his pokemon responsible for the wall of aurora veil around them, not wanting mateo's pokemon to disable those as well. that was all he got in here for. the sheer cold was just a spur of a moment decision and not exactly part of his plan. everything was supposed to be just a petty prank instead of an attack.

"oh, right." a thought suddenly crossed his mind as he was reminded of his responsibilities. "i left bry alone for breakfast. thanks for reminding me."

his abomasnow and his glaceon trailed behind him as kyle trudged along the thick layer of snow around him, with both of the pokemon continuing to add to the volume with avalanche and blizzard. large, frozen icicles remained on the ground, their sharp, pointed ends pointing towards the hyacinth hall. disable prevented it from propagating, but it did not make it disappear entirely.

the huntails still have clean up to do for the most part.

he stops for a while, turning briefly to mateo martinez for an invitation. "wanna come over?"

it wasn't until he spoke of @bryony. leaning over the rail, he'd say, "you stay away from--shit!" he'd fall over the rail and onto the snowy field, "owowow..." he'd rub the back of his head. quickly he'd stand back up as his pokemon watched from above, "you stay away from her!" mateo, pausing, restated, "how could you leave her alone?!" and so he decided that he'd come. "dragonite, everyone! we're going! let's go!" he'd wait for the gang to come down so he could go meet @bryony. hopefully she still wasn't miffed about yesterday.

also, he wondered, if he should invite Morgan Drake and Noelle Lane. nah, if noelle noticed morgan was gone than suspicion would arise. this was his time to slip. looking back he'd nod fiercely. skidaddlig over the many unconscious bodies of soldiers he riled up earlier.
