he gets another magikarp, though it wasn't as pretty as the magikarp that the other fishers get. while he doesn't usually care about the appearance of any pokemon besides his dogs, the fact that he's quite unlucky compared to others makes him kinda sad.

no other way around it besides testing his luck multiple times until he gets one that he wants. he casts his line once more.

Fishing was so boring. And so, Noelle fell asleep, ignoring the tugging on her fishing rod several times, and likely missing rare opportunities. After about an hour or two, she roused herself awake with an inhuman groan and gurgle, accidentally yanking her rod from the pool as she rolled over to get comfortable again.

Afterwards, she fell asleep once more.

Surprisingly fishing is something Isra has actually done before though it has been quite awhile.

He didn’t know how the hell he’d managed to catch that Magikarp the last time. Beginner’s luck, they said. Maybe he was some kind of Water-type charmer, they said.

But dang, it had been a few days since he was here, and so Lars was back, with a new, bigger ‘net’ to catch the Magikarp with. Apparently the last time he was around, some of the other people had gotten lucky and had caught some rare fish too, and so they had to replace everything.

Well, it wasn’t his fault he was that lucky was it?

Wait, why are they blaming me for all of this?! He thought angrily as he fell in line with the new net, waiting his turn. There were a hell of a lot more people than usual this time and it was taking a while before he could get his turn.

“So, I just drop it in?” he asks the new booth guard, this time a shy-looking young lady—and she nods.

Frowning in deep concentration, he tries his luck once more…
