Fenelle's look is sharp and focused as they fight through the first wave of battles. Hisuian Goodra is slow, but sturdy - its defenses are steel, and this one is particular is quite adamant on impressing Fenelle, too.

Even if by now, he's worn down, but still standing, triumphant.

That is, until Jayden ... Fenelle looks at the Metagross, whose psychic link allows dem right now to understand lipreading better, receive some cues and maybe something like listening. Der Metagross just continues looking at Jayden with this saintly patience it has. O.K., dee signs as understanding slowly settles.

And excitment, anticipation stirs.

Dee fidgets with the laser pointer in der hand which dee's been using to give commands, noticing a weakness. Dee has to use precious time to clap, before quickly signing, You, Bubble. The Goodra would leap to action immediately, covering itself with a large bubble first to act as some sort of shield. Dee wants to see first what's coming, given that they're already worn down.

Fenelle doesn't flinch - too many expensive, fragile things in this house to risk unintended movement - at Jayden's repeat. That one time dee doesn't take things literally.

Without further thinking, dee moves the laser pointer centerpoint of Jayden, blinking a short signal now directly onto the admin. Dragon Breath, and then wonders.

What defensive typing does an avatar have?

The bubble around the Goodra bursts as he takes a step forward. The air itself ignites as multi-coloured flames charge towards Jayden, flickering violently as it converges to a singular beam.

It's chilling in more ways than one to see Jayden swiftly evade the Dragon Breath by forming an icy shield - seconds before it's turning against them, transforming into crystalline daggers. Quickly, the Hisuian Goodra doubles down on Dragon Breath in hopes of melting the ice, positioning himself in front of Fenelle who's slightly ducked down. But it's hard to find a protected spot where you can also still see from this barrage ...

... however, it turns out, the near-invisible daggers aren't the only thing to look out for. The dragon's breath grows both hotter and ... unsteady. A roar erupts that shakes the earth and falls on unlistening ears with Fenelle, who simply frowns at the sudden change. Dee can't see the face of der pokémon, but there's a shift.

The expression of the well-natured Goodra has become torn apart by hatred.

Fenelle can't hear the Hisuian Goodra's roars as the heat of his Dragon Breath intensifies, darkened almost as it's more and more fuelled by hatred. An emotion foreign - and even if dee can only see his back, dee can see the strain this puts on the usually affectionate pokémon.

There's cold calculation, observation as the Goodra's in a state so unnatural and unknown to him. But there's also part compassion. In the icy winds, Fenelle retreats - a movement the Goodra still remains aware of. His attack strengthens again, his roars form an elegy. Is he being abandoned- does he hate-

Crackles of frost as the ice blade forms, almost indistinguishable from the other crystalline structure forming just in time. With a bright sound and light, the Hisuian Goodra is encased in Tera Crystals that reflect the light of his dying dragon breath. Clarity once more returns to his eyes as he manages to dodge a lethal blow, but is thrown aside by the blade's hit nonetheless.

He stumbles, his new gem-like body cracking almost under the weight of the impact. But he stands again, determined as before - and from the clarity comes a Mud Shot, aimed for the admin's head.

Fenelle holds der breath unconsciously as the battle comes to a standstill. There's mud on Admin Cross' face, and dee sees the Goodra stumble after the attack. The Terastallisation has helped, but now that he's fully conscious again, dee can also tell that he's gone.

But dee only recalls der pokémon as Jayden official signals it's over, and bows slightly in thanks for the battle.

Dee hasn't realised der own heartbeat quickening, and still chasing moments after the battle as the temperature rises again. Almost like waking up from a nightmare. The compliment would normally warrant a pleased feeling, but it's hard to think normally in the aftermath of that icy storm that seems to pierce everything.

Even then, Fenelle's gaze remains unflinching from years of training to keep eye contact, as dee ponders the question.

"Yes. It was ... potent. Powerful in several ways."

While part of dem somehow managed to stay logical - with the Hisuian Goodra possibly soaking the brunt of it - dee has felt that stir of hatred. But it's been an undirected, fleeting feeling as dee could't recall strong enemyship, and those feelings need a target. However, seeing the Goodra be torn apart by the burning chill has been an experience.

"It's a double edged sword, I think. A powerful ally in the right battle."
