The windy beach of the early morning touches upon the sands. In her swimsuit, Genny has already begun her run out, with a Hisuiian Sliggoo behind her, bouncing. Both of them had a kite in hand, with Genny spinning on a heel.[break][break]

"Yuina! Come on, the wind is great for this right now!" Feet to the water, kite to the sky? This was the life. Or well, it was going to be. Once her friend got out here![break][break]

Genny had her newer swimsuit on. And admittedly, it was more revealing than the last. A lot of guys nearby took notice, and Genny didn't even look their way.

An early morning beach was... Really something. How fresh the air was, how beautiful the early morning sky and rising sun was. The water was calm, soft waves lapping the smooth sandy beach, and not a cloud in the sky.[break][break]
Clutching the string of her kite firm in her fingers, Yuina gave it another good tug as she felt it pull higher into the air, working to catch up to Genny and Beachboy as the two ran up the beach. Daikenki kept a close pace, wading in the shallow waves as Yuina turned to find Genny just ahead of her.[break][break]
"I think we've found the best spot for wind Genny! We might be able to let out the rest of the string," Yuina smiled, looking up to her kite and giving another tug, it was rising steadily, and if the wind stayed the way it was, it would be smooth sailing.

Genny grins back to Yuina, and Beachboy does the same bouncing as he does. The little goo boy was just holding onto this bit of kite, and the smile he gives to both Daikenki and Yuina is infectious.[break][break]

"I think you're right!" Genny lets the string go more and more, letting the Wailord go higher, soar further up there. "Beachboy, let it-"[break][break]

Beachboy lets it go. Genny leaping up into the air, and snatching the string of the second kite, giving a showing to a group of beachdwellers nearby as her new swimsuit bounces. Genny had some jumping power. It was nearly too late.[break][break]

"Not all at once, BB!" She grins, and hands it back to Beachboy who sweats, and bounces in place, not understanding the assignment. Genny turns back towards Yuina, and can't help but giggle out. How long had it been since she could relax like this? It felt...[break][break]

- Excitement is infectious! As Yuina makes the note they can let the kites further, Genny lets more string go, as Beachboy fully lets go.[break]
- Genny has to literally jump, with some jumping power, to snatch the kite before BB lets it go. Her swimsuit bounces with her.[break]
- She giggles towards Yuina. This happiness and serenity feels... odd. Off.

The wet sand was cool and smooth beneath her feet as Yuina came closer to a walk, slowing with the kite she held that rose into the air. Genny was just off to the side from her, they didn't want to get their kites tangled, but it seemed Beachboy didn't quite get what it was they were doing.[break][break]
"Oh no," Yuina gasped, and she would have leaped after it herself, but gosh if Genny's reflex wasn't impressive, just as impressive as she looked in her new swimsuit as Yuina stared for that moment with the other onlookers.[break][break]
Daikenki shuffled along the sand, blue fur dotted and splashed with specks of sand as he chuffed, coming closer to Beachboy. He remembered what this was, a kite, he watched Yuina and the villagers make one once, out of paper and reeds. He came closer to the small dragon with a bark, maybe he could help explain what was going on.[break][break]
"This is...," Yuina said after a moment, drawing in an even breath, eyes glancing up to their kites lofting in the air above them. What... a great moment this was... A moment that belonged to Yuina, and no other part of herself.[break]
"Thank you for setting this up Genny. I think we needed this."

So maybe, just maybe, after yesterday's moments with Andrea Vaneau, Genny had gone out to get a better swimsuit. It wasn't that orange and stripes was bad, but she hadn't exactly indulged much on herself. The glamping trip was for the girls, as was the beach trip. She had a new position, and for once, she splurged for herself. She didn't take too much notice of the eyes on her. Even Yuina's eyes weren't picked up by the redhead.[break][break]

Part of her hoped though, inwardly, she'd get those eyes on her, Yuina included. Was that toxic? Maybe. Genny can't help but smile in response though. "Dark days may be ahead, but if we don't take a moment to stop and smell the sea salt, we won't remember what it is we fight for." She beams to Yuina, both kites in the air, as she hands one to BB.[break][break]

And BB finds himself staring at Daikenki, the bark from the dark and blue otter not falling on deaf ears. But instead, BB does something quite precious. He holds his little goo hand out to Daikenki. To share the kite.[break][break]

Something told BB, that he was like BB! And because of that, they could share this moment. A moment of kinship![break][break]

Genny smiles down to BB, and back to Daikenki, as she takes a knee to ruffle the goo boy, and hold a hand out to the big otter. "I'm sure Daikenki knows too. Don't you?" She gives the otter the sweetest smile she can muster.[break][break]

No matter how long the night is, day will come again.

- She liked the attention. Just a little. Genny hears that Yui says they needed it, and Genny agrees. They needed a moment to smell the sea salt, to enjoy the world.[break]
- BB wants to share his kite with Daikenki! Daikenki and him share a homieship. A time that was not their own. He has new friend! He holds his gooey hand to extend the kite.[break]
- Genny bends down to ruffle the goo boy, before turning to Daikenki. He knew all too well what was too, and that taking a break was important for Yuina. She tries to pet him.

Watching her kite for a moment, the soft colors of morning brushing through the sky, Yuina listened to Genny's words. It was a sore reminder of what awaited them outside of this moment, looming in the distance, the uncertainties of conflict in the near future. But... Genny was right.[break][break]
"This... Right here, I want to fight for this, for us, so that we don't have to wonder if we could ever do this again," Yuina returned without question. She wanted to fight for the betterment of Hoenn, to defend against the Drk Triad, to stop the war between factions that never mattered in the grand scheme of things.[break][break]
Beside them both, as Daikenki moved towards Beachboy, the Samurott looked down to the beaming smile the sliggoo offered along with the string of the kite he held. Daikenki chuffed, grateful as he reached out with his dextrous hands and tugged on the string to help the kite go a little higher, with more altitude.[break][break]
He watched the kite for a moment before finding movement in his periphery, glancing towards Genny that moved towards him, holding out a hand. He, of Yuina's displaced Pokemon, might not have been the most personable, but he did recognize that Genny was just, and trusted, and cared for by Yuina. And that mattered.[break]
The Samurott chuffed again before reaching out with his paw, offering it to her to return the gesture.[break][break]
"Yeah, he does. We've been fighting for our survival together for so long now... in this place that neither of us knew as home... but that's changing."
