KAIDA the LAPRAS makes land on the SOOTOPOLIS COASTLINE under the cover of the rain and fog. She mewls, exhausted after braving the treacherous waves, and the hooded man standing atop her shelled back makes no protest of it. Though their arrival here was made surreptitiously, their purpose for arriving here in the first place changed things.[break][break]

If TEAM ROCKET wanted dead, then they could come and try. Otherwise, he would help bring down SOOTOPOLIS and return it to the good people of HOENN through any means necessary. And, frankly, he was starting to really feel himself mean that.[break][break]

Dismounting to set his black boots upon the rocky shore, the AVATAR looks up to regard the two-person welcome committee waiting for him on the cliffs above. His bright neon blue eyes are like beacons underneath the shadow of his hood; ominous and otherworldly as electricity crackles from his body sporadically. Sootopolis Scenario B-4



Jill had never seen a more pompous man in her life. If everyone in the League was as... interesting as him, then they must be catering to fools. Fools that must be put in their place.[break][break]

With and herself acting as the welcoming party to receive their guest for today. Their mission is plain and simple. Stop the League no matter the cost. This would mark her first bout against an avatar in the flesh. All the simulated training exercises with prepared her for this moment. They are still people that can bleed, just like her.[break][break]

"Just you? I didn't know League's men were so high and mighty that they can take cities all by themselves. You're mistaken if you think we'll let you do so easily." She looks to her side to see if was in agreement before continuing, "Let's end him quickly."[break][break]

The lightning bolt didn't phase her, in these strange lands anything was possible.[break][break]

With her Galarian Slowbro out, the pair get ready for battle. The pink and purple Pokemon holds out its Shell Side Arm, pointing it directly at their opponent and unleashing a concentrated blast of pure poison at him.

Purple hues narrowed as Victoria stared down her opponent from above. Her gaze was piercing yet not as striking as his own. Once his hood was removed her eyes widened in recognition. She'd fought against him before back on the islands. She'd been caught unawares before...

[break][break] She was well aware of just who they were facing now. Crown prince , avatar of the league and betrayer of team rocket.

[break][break] "Careful." Victoria warned Jill as she kept her eyes trained on their opponent. "He's an avatar. We'd do well not to underestimate him."

[break][break] Victoria knew better than that. Her previous encounter with the deserter had left her on the losing end. She'd been ill equipped to face him on her own back then.

[break][break] His lightning and presence were oppressive and his pokémon were capable. He had plenty of experience under his belt, plus he was aware of some of Rocket's best combat strategies and techniques.

[break][break] But she wasn't alone this time. Nor was she the same woman she was almost a year ago.

[break][break] "Cringy super hero lines aside, you'd do well not to underestimate us as well." Tori said with a smirk. "We're more than enough to keep you...occupied."

[break][break] The being above the clouds wasn't missed by Victoria either. She tightened her fist as she got into a battle stance.

[break][break] "So sweet prince, may we have this dance?" She had cringy lines of her own she could use. But her intent was deadly serious. Tori's cloyster that had been hidden since the beginning pooled the muddy waters together to form a WHIRLPOOL around the enemy.

It gnaws and snaps in the dark recesses of his heart, stoking anger and rage at those he blames for all his world's faults. However, what most would consider an insatiable and corybantic anger was interpreted differently by the exiled prince. This was a righteous fury and well-deserved. TEAM ROCKET would never learn. As if feeding on this growing passionate rage, the storm above flashes with unrelenting thunder and lightning while the rain slowly turns to HAIL. Then comes a bright light— so bright that the sky seems to shift into day for a split second— before a deafening crack fills the air. In its wake, the archon of lighting descends, thrumming with power as its scales glow golden in the dark of this tempest.[break][break]

It was like the second coming of a thunder god from the legends. The kind myths were born from and songs were sung about. Tori had to admit, it was downright terrifying to watch giant columns of lightning strike from the heavens and roll like waves.

[break][break] The time for chit chat was over.

[break][break] For a brief moment, as thunder cracked and split the skies around her, she wondered if she was truly capable of going up against monsters such as avatars. For the tiniest of seconds she recalled all of her gut-wrenching losses up until this point and found herself asking...

[break][break] was she really strong enough?

[break][break] The LIGHTNING STILETTO hurled in their direction left Tori very little time to doubt herself any further.

[break][break] It was nothing short of reflexes that were honed from rigorous hours of torturous training that she was able to whistle and signal her Cloyster to use an emergency PROTECT on Jill and them.

[break][break] Thanks to her previous bout with the Galarian prince, his sudden appearance hadn't caught her off guard, though it was still impressive to behold.

[break][break] The moment the traitor appeared and took a swipe at Jill was the moment that Victoria felt her body come alive. It was almost as if she had gotten a shock directly to her system. She'd come online.

[break][break] So what if these monstrosities called 'avatars' were oppressive and went against the very laws of nature? "Even gods can fall." she growled as she came back to her senses.

[break][break] This was what she had trained for! What she had worked so hard for! She'd be damned if she allowed her nerves and fears to get in the way of her glory now. Shrieks and cries from civilians still fleeing the chaos and destruction of their clash filled her ears like white noise, but Tori paid them no mind.

[break][break] A wicked grin spread across Tori's cheeks as she lunged towards Remiel with trained blades of her own. His attention was on her partner, so she'd strike with speed and precision from behind.

[break][break] Meanwhile below, her arctovish, empowered by SLUSH RUSH and the HAILSTORM, worked to quickly quell the destruction of the Rocket vessels. A practiced combo-strike maneuver from the arctovish and cloyster saw a expertly timed FREEZE-DRY aimed at the muddy swirling vortex and lapras BULLDOZING it's way through to the ships.

[break][break] The chilling winds would bite through and freeze the muddy, watery-vortex and hopefully lock the lapras in place. If only to prevent more damage from being done to Rocket's precious vessels.

The sudden bravado takes Jill by surprise. Much quicker than she anticipated. Were it not for 's help, who knows what that blade could have done to her.[break][break]

And now she was indebted to Victoria because of her mistake. One that she'll never make again.[break][break]

The time for words had come to an end. With the two of them brandishing their weapons, Jill thought it fit to do the same. Taking out a pair of knives from their holsters, she grips one in each hand, rushing forward alongside Tori for a double-sided assault. The clash of lightning and steel boom like thunder.[break][break]

So what if he is an avatar. In her eyes, he is nothing but a man still. No one is immortal. Everyone eventually fades and withers away. As long as Rocket has its grip onto Jill, she would topple the gods themselves should they desire.[break][break]

From above, bolts strike down across countless areas like rain. One of which was soon to end the Galarian Slowbro in a matter of seconds. However, the Pokemon is Quick with its Draw and jumps out of the way in the nick of time.[break][break]

With its trainer preoccupied, there was one more enemy they needed to deal with. That Lapras was causing too much of a disturbance, if left unattended it could spell doom for the defense of Sootopolis.[break][break]

From the depths of the Slowbro's mind does it unleash a Psychic attack upon the Lapras. Anything to stop it in its fury and allow 's Arctovish to take the advantage.

The lightning-eyed prince fuels the swing of his sword with these sentiments but finds it striking a PROTECTIVE barrier instead. As the sound of it rings out like a haunting bell across SOOTOPOLIS, he whips around to set eyes on the Pokémon that had created it: but instead sees charging straight for him and in his periphery where he had left her.[BREAK][BREAK]

In the time it takes for that barrier to come down and expose him to the latter, his body charges with electricity before he lifts his blade to the sky. And, just a moment from being cut down, the bright blue flash of a LIGHTNING BOLT strikes down through the AVATAR's sword and out of his body, creating an ELECTRICAL BURST that blasts both girls backward and threatens to cast them off the cliff.[BREAK][BREAK]

In its wake, shrugs a piece of rubble off from his shoulder and growls. "I created SPECTRA to train grunts like you into dealing with people like me. But I see that its current iteration has failed you both." He spits with veritable disgust, forming a single BOLT in one hand as he readies his blade with the other. "If this a cause worth dying for, then come. Attack me with your full strength."[BREAK][BREAK]

Meanwhile, down below, Kaida struggles with a FREEZE-DRY that has all but frozen her in place. As she struggles to break through, however, she senses a growing PSYCHIC power coming her way in the form of a SLOWBRO. With a mournful mewl, she blocks this attempt with PSYCHIC NOISE, nearly deafening those who hear it nearby: namely, the CLOYSTER and the ARCTOVISH.[BREAK][BREAK]

And, as if taking advantage of this moment, the BLACK YIN above roars before spurring a ROCK SLIDE from the cliffs above. The violent crash of white rubble spills over onto the shore and sea, threatening the CLOYSTER, the ARCTOVISH, and the integrity of the ENEMY SHIPS below. All the while, the storm above seems to INTENSIFY with LIGHTNING and HEAVY RAIN.[BREAK][BREAK]

A disastrous combination of ZEKROM's TERAVOLT and PRIMAL KYOGRE's PRIMORDIAL RAIN.

Though likely not one that the evacuating civilians of SOOTOPOLIS CITY would likely appreciate.[BREAK][BREAK]

Her feet slide across the rocky ground, small bits of gravel tumble down the cliffside that remind Jill of just where they are. Backed into a corner, the avatar was becoming more and more of a hassle to deal with. None of what she's faced so far has come even close to his destructive power.[break][break]

Screams of terror fuse with the crashing of thunder and torrential rain. Citizens run away in fear as the end times have seemingly come for this city. It is just background noise for Jill. As per her plan, she closes the distance with lightning speed. She ducks down with a swing from both of her arms that aim to chip away at his legs while her partner follows suit with her own attack.[break][break]

Jill's Galarian Slowbro fares about the same. Its attack overtaken by the Lapras'. There was but one way for the Pokemon to continue this battle. Taking to the water, while dangerous, was the only battlefield left for the poisonous Pokemon to enter.[break][break]

Surfing on the rough waves, it hopes to crash into the Lapras to free the Arctovish and Cloyster from the psychic blast.

Tori hisses as she just narrowly misses getting dangerously caught in the ELECTRICAL BURST from the avatar. But the blast still managed to catch her off guard and nearly take her off the cliff. Her chest rises and falls rapidly as a pointed glare stares down the death-imposing drop from the cliffside.

[break][break] Victoria's brows knitted together in a frown. This was all beginning to be a bit much. The sheer destruction from this particular avatar was unlike any she had seen. And that was saying a lot considering there was and in Rocket too. The words Remiel spat caused Tori's glare to sharpen.

[break][break] What would he know about her struggles and her failures? Tori scoffed through her mask as she recentered herself. The last thing she wanted to hear about was failure coming from a traitor like him.

[break][break] "Well...a hit dog will always holler, won't it?" her words are laced with venom as she gets into her fighting stance again.

[break][break] Jill's suggestion is worth a shot. They'd be getting nowhere if they got in each other's way.

[break][break] Victoria's grip on her blades tighten as she nods in agreement to Jill's plan. With the next crack of thunder the both of them close the distance between the avatar at intense speeds.

[break][break] Tori keeps her body low to the ground as she gains momentum before swinging left and leaping into the air. Using her weight she adds a spin on her attach as she aims to complete a heavy slash on Remiel's upper vitals. She hold's nothing back, she aims to incapacitate or even kill.

[break][break] She'd feel no remorse. After all, he attacked them and he made the conscious decision to turn coat and betray rocket.

[break][break] Victoria gritted her teeth in annoyance. These traitors were everywhere, like flies. They scatter at the first sign of light like filthy roaches and she can't help but wonder how Rocket let so many get away. They irritated her to no end, just to come back and think they can talk down to her. The hell would they know?

[break][break] Meanwhile her Arctovish and Cloyster were caught in a struggle with the Lapras and Zekrom. With much needed help from Jill's Galarian Slowbro, Tori's Arctovish has time to cover them with a PROTECT from the incoming ROCK SLIDE from Zekrom.

[break][break] Meanwhile, while battered and bruised, her Cloyster hangs on by taking the the water from the skies and shaping them into ICICLE SPEARS.

[break][break] With SKILL LINK the Cloyster sends out the maximum amount of spears it can muster in this all-out attack against the trapped Lapras.

"HELP US, PLEASE!" One of them cries as they struggle to pull their partner up from a ledge. They can't help but look up in terror, however, as ELECTRIC-TERA TYPE ZEKROM charges itself in the sky above.[BREAK][BREAK]

"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT US!" Another shouts. "TEAM ROCKET WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT US!"[BREAK][BREAK]

Others remain buried beneath rubble or paralyzed as those who escaped try not to stumble and fall on their perilous descent. But the trio of combatants here seem too preoccupied in their battle of wills to notice.[BREAK][BREAK]

With a whirlwind of a spin, is the first to receive a response from in the form of a cast LIGHTNING STILETTO. Whether or not it strikes, potentially PARALYZING in place with a bolt, the AVATAR pivots to parry with his blade and simultaneously spur on another effect through the metal of ALL of their weapons: CHAIN LIGHTNING.[BREAK][BREAK]

Another crackling blast bounces between them all, channeled through the improvised lightning rods that they carry. While has a natural immunity to the element, it seems and must either drop their weapons or suffer the wrath of it. The stench of an inorganic burning in the ozone, like wires or plastic, is inescapable. Through the THUNDER and LIGHTNING of two combined LEGENDARIES, has inherited an INTENSE POWER.[BREAK][BREAK]

An overwhelming sense of DREAD seems to fall upon and just then. HATRED itself seems to darken the storm above. And, somewhere in HOENN, a tingle runs up the spine of as the darkness he infected with some time ago FEEDS.[BREAK][BREAK]

Something is coming for the pair. Will they prepare to defend themselves or help evacuate the citizens their organization once harbored?[break][break]

Sootopolis Scenario B-4



Practice all you like and it will never be enough. Even if you prepare yourself for every possibility, new ones always slip through the cracks. Your best won't always cut it.[break][break]

A jolt of electricity courses through Jill's body, one that fries her very insides while a bloodcurdling scream accompanies the pain. Her hands open up as a reaction, her weapons dropped to the floor now laid as refuse. Her body is no longer her own. Any attempt to command her arms or legs to move is only met with resistance. They twitch and writhe in Paralysis until at last, she crumples onto the floor a searing hot mess.[break][break]

Her Pokemon fare no better. Like a sitting duck, the surfing Galarian Slowbro too is struck by lightning from the heavens above. The water easily conducts the electricity which finds its way towards the poison type. Very much like its owner, its body now laid lifeless on the open waters. A burnt body, now no more than a casualty of this war.

The combined attack seemed good in theory but it would seem the Zekrom avatar was unphased. His attacks were harsher on Jill than her own. Or possibly it was due to all the training with Rocket's top brass. Either way, Victoria could recover quickly.

[break][break] The crown prince utilized CHAIN LIGHTNING between their weapons, and despite the rubber insulation on her blades Tori was forced to drop her weapons with a hiss. Her hands were burnt slightly from the lightning attack but she didn't have time to dwell on her injury. Reeling back her fingers twitched for more hidden weapons on her body as she glared at her opponent.

[break][break] Jill however was in way worse shape. Tori's eyes darted to her partner who was a crippled, crumpled mess on the floor. PARALYZED from the crown prince's recent attack. "Shit" Tori muttered to herself.

[break][break] Meanwhile down below towards the docks, the heat and thunder from Zekrom's attacks was just too much to bear for Tori's pokemon. Her Cloyster was out of commission and had returned to it's pokeball. Meanwhile her Arctovish was in a rough position as well but thankfully due to the HAILSTORM and it's ICE BODY ability it was able to survive and sustain itself.

[break][break] That was the funny thing about strength and power. In the face of such almighty strength it was easy to get overwhelmed and succumb. Perhaps she might've back during her initial return to this region. But she was different now. Her hunger and passion for growth was unrelenting. Despite the vengeance that he had yet to exemplify in full upon these ROCKET scum, the royal realizes his efforts are better spent elsewhere than SHIPS and SCOUNDRELS. These were mere distractions. His aim here was to liberate SOOTOPOLIS from TEAM ROCKET's grasp, even if that meant tearing it from their grasp with violence.[BREAK][BREAK]

When the dust from the rubble clears, however, the pair are nowhere to be seen. They've taken to the clouds for now. But it is clear enough that they haven't let SOOTOPOLIS out of their sights.[BREAK][BREAK]

Sootopolis Scenario B-4



When you're down below writhing in the muck, everything above seems so gigantic and out of your league. Like the view she had as a child, the sky is just out of her reach. And help has come far too late.[break][break]

Ear-piercing screams and crackling thunder aren't even heard by the Rocket grunt. 's words are muffled in Jill's ears. She said something, but she couldn't discern what. The thunder avatar's paralysis is more potent than she had expected. He was more dangerous than she expected. Even with numbers on their side, she still fell short.[break][break]

A hand extends outwards towards Tori, any word that was muttered by Jill were rendered instead in small groans. Her body could not move, her voice could not scream out. Only her mind was fully functioning, panicking over the thunderous claps striking the earth and sea.[break][break][break]

And before Tori could even come to her aid, rocks, like meteors, rain down from up high, summoned by the Zekrom avatar. They torrent down like hail and cover the area with booming cannon-fire. The last thing Jill sees, is a monster flying above, just like in her stories as a child.[break][break]

And where once laid Jill, now was a bloodied tomb marking her grave.[break][break]

Where once was a girl so full of hope, now a pile of rubble bereft of any human resemblance.
