the small pokemon blocks their way like a pebble on the ground. it's small and probably unnoticeable, but standing in their way makes it very much recognizable.

nevertheless, kyle gets his pokemon to rouch it up.

sirius snatches it up with a crunch, flipping it up in the air as he releases it from the clutches of his jaws, and then headbutts it with thrash as it hits the nearest tree bark. it falls on the ground, limp, before kyle produces another pokeball to catch it.

kyle picks up a pokeball as another pokemon shows itself. it remains in the shadows so it did not technically want itself to be seen, but kyle and his lycanroc recognizes it anyways.

"stone edge."

the shedinja goes down in a single hit from the lycanroc's attack. it isn't know to be a sturdy pokemon anyways. he was pretty sure he has one of these already, but since he adopts a system called 'catch every bug-type you see', he still gets it just to be certain.

taking a pokeball out, he catches the shedinja.

consecutive battles with little to no rest gets the lycanroc exhausted. it still shows no sign of fatigue, but kyle knows his pokemon's limits more than them sometimes. dogs are stupid creatures that only focuses on the problems in front of them.

when the vespiquen appears, kyle whistles for sirius to fall back. he orders him something else to overwrite his lycanroc's lust for blood. "grab that pokeball and let's go!" he tells him.

preoccupied with the object on his mouth, the lycanroc follows his trainer as it runs away from the vespiquen. they eventually reach the circle they were working on. the twitch of his lycanroc's ears gets him to know something was up. he stops the same time as his lycanroc, though the vespiquen couldn't match the same deceleration as the duo made without the help of friction.

it flies straight through the perimeter, unable to lose speed fast enough, and then activates the stealth rocks. it hurts the bug-type and falls on the ground, kyle tossing a pokeball at it.

the fight reveals a forretress on the nearby tree. it starts to glow in a bright light. kyle knows what was going to happen next, and he wasn't sure if his lycanroc can handle it alone.

his other two pokemon start to approach him as kyle and his third lycanroc enter the territory they temporarily claimed. he knows what to do in this situation, which was to beat up the wild pokemon before it does, or at least, it was the fastest way since he's too lazy to simply escape the explosion.

"stone edge."

the collection of canines all attacked the forretress with their moves, diffusing the bomb before it detonates. kyle lobs a pokeball at its unconscious body, as per tradition.

he recovers from the fiasco, dusting his clothes as he walks away. he lets one of his lycanroc retrieve the pokeball, which he takes and puts on a large duffel bag he has been carrying. it was starting to get heavy, though he can still carry additional pokeballs on it.

another bug-type appears, though the stealth rocks manage to snag it on the way in. the araquanid hisses at the pain it experienced and starts to get aggressive, which it displays towards the first creature it sees, which was one of kyle's lycanrocs. it starts to walk towards one of them, its water bubble expanding as it readies a move.

a quick stone edge from one of his lycanroc gets it to fall before it can attack. kyle throws a pokeball at it.

the paras was small. kyle felt like he could defeat it just by kicking it. he tests the theory by kicking it. it falls upside down and cannot get back up after the kick.

taking a pokeball out of his pockets, he adds another one to his collection
