huge bug-types were a rarity among themselves, and the scolipede easily paints itself as a target for kyle when its size and bright coloration makes it stick out from the hues of the woods.

the stealth rocks wear it out, but unlike the other smaller bug-types, it doesn't seem to falter from the entry hazard alone. it required intervention from kyle and his group of lycanroc, which happened as soon as one of them noticed the large bug-type enter the perimeter of stealth rocks they had set up earlier. camus takes the lead this time.

"accelerock."

the rock-type rushes out from outside the scolipede's peripheral, encasing himself with stone as he charges at the bug-type at blinding speeds. the rock coating chips off as he crashes onto the wounded bug-type, managing to tip it off of its feet with the impact. it crashes down, the undergrowth somehow muting the otherwise loud sound of its fall.

"nice," he compliments his pokemon as he catches their prey.

he finds a grubbin by his feet, its small size making it almost unnoticeable by kyle. his pokemon, however, were not ones that would disregard the presence of a pokemon, no matter how small they were as long as they were significant for their objective.

they were supposed to hunt every bug-type that enters their domain, and the small grubbin wasn't an exemption.

camus rushes in for the larva with accelerock, still energized by the previous rush it experienced from hunting the scolipede. kyle almost tells his pokemon not to take it too seriously, but the time it took the lycanroc, accompanied by kyle's rather carefree mood at that time, meant that his reaction time wasn't up to par as he needed it to be.

nonetheless, camus still reaches the grubbin, defeats it in one blow, and tosses it in the air like an uncivilized barbarian. zeke catches it in the air with his paws while kyle readies a pokeball, booping the small bug-type to add it to the numbers.

stealth rocks does its job rather well, but multiple usages of it gets the set up to be worn out no matter how well kyle asks his pokemon to prepare them.

"we're making a patrol around the area to set them up again," he informs his pack of lycanroc as he stares at the carefully hidden series of rocks that float around. there were barks of approval, if only because they were bored of simply standing around and waiting for the bug-types to come to them.

another insect comes right in just before they do their rounds, however.

"it's the bro or something, i guess."

sirius jumps on the chargabug, pinning it onto the ground under his weight. wounded in its entry with stealth rocks, sparks start to fly wildly around it. the electricity doesn't stop his pokemon from attempting to attack it, however. the charjabug tries to move away from the lycanroc, but kyle quickly silences it with a pokeball.

he leaves two of his lycanroc to work the traps back up while he takes another one with him to go beyond the safety of their circle and get more bug-types while the work is being done.

a vivillon is easily spotted with its blue wings. kyle wasn't that much of a fan of vivillon patterns, but the colors were pleasant on the eyes and isn't as vibrant as the other patterns that made him want to get it. he'd catch the bug-type anyways cause that was the objective of the bug contest game he was playing right now.

"accelerock."

sirius quickly jumps the vivillon, leaving it no room for a counter attack. it gets taken down quickly, crashing into the ground from just minding its own business. a whistle from kyle gets the lycanroc to heel before it makes any more damage to the bug-type, settling down on the ground while he watches the wild pokemon try to fly away.

kyle stops it from escaping with a pokeball.

a pokeball already was readied on his hand, breaking into a light jog as he started moving along the woods.

"that one too," he orders his lycanroc, pointing his hand at the weedle.

the canine sprints, hitting the bug-type with another hard-hitting accelerock. the weedle, unable to stop the unstoppable force that hit it and its fragile frame, is tossed up into the air by the collision. its body spins whilst airborne, though kyle knows that it is merely an effect of the attack rather than a deliberate action of the wild pokemon.

kyle tosses it a pokeball for a capture.

"accelerock."

as soon as he sees the yanma, he gets his lycanroc to act on it. kyle wastes no time to order a move on the rock-type with the intent to knock it down as easily as these pokemon were fragile with the typing of his pokemon of choice.

powerful legs let it reach top speeds in seconds, bounding and then reaching the yanma quickly with its move. it knocks the yanma onto the ground, pinning it down with its paw to hold it long enough for his trainer to catch up.

kyle does so with the capture device held on his hand. it is used on the yanma.

his lycanroc yoinks a silcoon stuck on the tree with his fangs and brings it back to kyle. he wasn't sure why his pokemon did it, but it was intuitive and useful. he earns a pat on the head for that.

knowing that the silcoon won't even put up a fight, he supposes that battling it wasn't needed. he spares it the pain and torture of being hit with a supereffective rock-type move and presents a pokeball at its eye. pressing the capsule against its silken shell, he lets the bug-type be captured.

the pokemon's only choice was to voluntarily go in, or get beaten up before being forced back to a pokeball.
