This new threat however is foreign, causing the ecosystem to take proactive measures to stop the alien's corruption from spreading further. The Ranger Raids were the human response to the encroaching shift in power and for now the region is still at peace. But for how long? Mother Nature takes no chances and sends an agent of change to seek out those who can carry out her will. Her chosen warrior may not seem like the most capable candidate but that's why she sends them out to find someone who can provide the proper tutelage—someone who can tap into unrealized potential. Reports of a huge Ursaring terrorizing Oldale town is one of the newest assignments tasked to Hoenn's rangers. The Pokemon's unusual size and raw power exceed those of normal Pokemon. Multiple trainers have tried their hand at warding off the intrusive Pokemon but none have been successful. The local Pokemon Center is filled with the injured Pokemon of those that have tried. Can someone else hold off the beast until the rangers arrive? The elderly of the small town are terrified that by the time they arrive the Ursaring will have already torn through some of their homes.
