It's the nights where the moon is full that she enjoys the best. Walking down along the beach's edge, letting the water slowly brush over her feet with each crashing wave is truly the only time where she feels right in the world. The cold, welcoming embrace of the ocean. Some nights you dream of just walking out to sea, allowing the cold chill of the world's embrace to overcome you and sweep you away from this place. Slateport, what a joke of a city.[break][break]

All it's ever given her is heartbreak and hurt. It's easy to scam a few people out of their hard-earned cash, to cover up her face and look into a glass ball. Reading people is easy, they always give away exactly what they wanted to hear or what they were afraid of to hear, both bring in the cash. But it's never enough to last. Food was always a bit more expensive than it needed to be, clothes were expensive, just keeping a roof over their head was most expensive of all. Sometimes it was just enough to make her want to forget it all. [break][break]

The girl sighs, slumping down onto the beach sand and simply staring up at the moon. It's not easy being born physically weak. Manual labor jobs are impossible with her sickly health, even being out in the day is a struggle with photosensitive skin. Her brother likes to call her a vampire who just needs to feed, but the jokes get old after so many years. At first living with him was a boon, a safe place in the uncaring world. But as she grew, became her own woman, the more restricting it felt. She couldn't contribute to this world in any meaningful way, but the world never gave her any reason to. [break][break]

The world never gave her the easy way out, like so many of her extended family who just seemed to have the world handed to them on a silver platter. Individuals who never had to struggle to survive, people who never once reached out to her and tried to keep her safe and secure once they realized her brother supposedly had everything handled. There was no end to the frustration such thoughts brought. They didn't care that she hurt, both inside and out, surely they wouldn't care when that same disdain was repaid in kind.[break][break]

All life once came from the sea, and eventually, all life will be returned to the sea. Just not yet.
