The sky is scorched as black as night as smoke quickly rises to the air. The heat is almost unbearable but he manages to endure, inwardly glad that the league had some sense to provide them proper equipment to resist the fire. His blue eyes seem to gaze over at the spreading fire that’s quickly inching closer. Frowning, he throws three pokeballs, summoning his team to help quell the raging flames.

”Zangai, mow down the nearby grass to keep the flames from spreading outwards. Kano, Kishi, use Rain Dance and Hydro Pump.”

The Garchomp, Milotic, and Pelipper are all quick to work with the Garchomp cutting away the grass down to its roots with swift swipes, the Milotic majestically twisting its body to summon rain, and the Pelipper quickly puffing its cheek to let out a massive torrent of water out from its large mouth.

Despite their efforts though, the inferno seems near endless.

Joseph assignment was less fire fighting and more search and rescue. Make sure that any stragglers, human and Pokémon alike, got to safety away from the flames. His team was busy at work; Talonflame and Typholsion were in charge of locating any victims and assisting in rescue, a task given to them due to their resistance towards the flames.

Meanwhile his Frogadier and Wailord were in charge of using their abilities to douse the flames. Once they were mostly certain that anyone caught in the fire was safe they’d focus solely on containment, though this fire did not seem like it could be contained.

Once he had finished clearing an area he moved to the next, grouping up with another league member who was here to help fight the fire. ”These flames are not going to be dying down any time soon. In fact, it seems like the more we put out the more pop up.” He’d say as he walked up to the other leaguer.

”We need to find the source of whatever’s causing it, up for going deeper?”

Even as rain begins to pour downwards from the Milotic’s Rain Dance, the raging inferno seems endless, unperturbed by the small torrent of water washing over the flames. Even the sudden burst of water from the Pelipper seems completely ineffective to quell the flames. His eyes narrow dangerously as he stares at the fire. His gaze shifts over to the other man and he lets out a low sigh, recalling the Garchomp back into its pokeball.

”Fine.” he says in agreement. The Pelipper whirls around him as he quickly hops onto the back. His hand extends outwards, offering the unfamiliar man a lift. ”It’ll be faster and less dangerous if we fly. We can also get a better look of the situation.”

”Kano, help keep the flames contained while we head inwards.” he says to the Milotic. It lets out a low cry, nodding as it begins to blast away at the flames with a Water Pulse. His gaze turns back towards the other league member, his hand still outstretched as he silently waits for the man’s decision. His somewhat cold gaze focuses deeper past the flames, wondering what might be causing the fire to spread so dangerously.

”Rain, Summer.”

The two Pokémon he called out stopped whatever it was that they were doing and returned to their master.

”You two come with us, Ben keep dousing the flames.” As for his Typholison the young man simply returned the Pokémon as his job was done.

”Let’s get this over with.” He sighed taking the man’s hand and hopping onto the back of the Pelipper. His Frogadier wasted no time and hopped onto Joseph’s back, clinging onto his shoulders and his Talonflame would fly alongside them as backup.

”Head towards the south end. If it gets to Petalburg Woods we’ll lose any sort of hope containing the flames on our own.”
